About this House

What's unique:Pool deckingThree-car garageOutdoor kitchenFour-and-a-half bathsFour bedroomsPowder bath
The Maverick takes advantage of its deep 65' x 160' homesite with a private backyard built around outdoor living. This 2,855-square-foot Preserve Collection home offers four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, an upstairs sitting room and three-car garage, along with a private saltwater pool and spa, outdoor kitchen and expansive 13' x 36' screened porch.

Inside, the first floor has been expanded vertically with 11-foot ceilings, 6-foot windows and 8-foot doors. The foyer leads into the kitchen and open dining area before continuing into the living room at the rear of the home. Wide-plank wood flooring and crown molding carry through the main spaces, while lap-and-gap detailing adds interest along the hallway leading to the kitchen. A 16-foot bronze-framed slider opens the living room to the screened porch, pool and backyard. The living room also features a 42-inch gas fireplace with a Dekton surround.

The kitchen centers around a white oak island and is finished with upgraded quartz countertops, stacked upper cabinetry with glass, a custom wood vent hood and drawer stacks flanking the range. The upgraded appliance package includes a 36-inch Wolf dual-fuel range, 36-inch panel-front Sub-Zero refrigerator with bottom drawer, Cove dishwasher and 24-inch Wolf microwave drawer. A walk-in pantry provides additional storage, while the dry bar with a Scotsman nugget ice maker adds another dedicated space for entertaining. The primary suite is located privately at the rear of the first floor with double doors opening directly to the outdoor living area. The primary bath includes dual sink vanity with white oak cabinetry and upgraded quartz countertop, a freestanding tub, upgraded tile and shower flooring, handheld shower fixture and adjoining walk-in closet with built-in shelving and built-in full-size mirror. Bedroom 2 is also located on the first floor with its own bath and walk-in closet. A powder bath and the laundry room with upper and lower cabinetry, sink and quartz countertop space complete the main level.

Upstairs, 10-foot ceilings continue through two additional bedroom suites positioned on either side of a central sitting room. Each bedroom has a walk-in closet and private bath, giving the second floor a comfortable layout for family or guests. Upgraded tile finishes, quartz countertops, shower shelving and handheld fixtures continue throughout the home's bathrooms.

The screened porch with brick flooring functions as a true outdoor room with an outdoor kitchen equipped with grill, vent hood, granite countertop and exterior-grade cabinetry, along with a 42-inch gas fireplace finished in brick with a weathered barnwood mantel. Beyond the porch is the private saltwater pool and spa with upgraded tile and plaster, pool decking and privacy fencing around the backyard.

Additional upgrades include bronze windows, epoxy garage floors, a mini-split in the three-car garage, generator hookup, water-softening/filtration plumbing, 240/220-volt garage outlet, video doorbell, dehumidifier and gas lantern at the front porch.

Located within Watersound Origins®, homeowners enjoy convenient access to Origins Golf Course , Village Commons with resort-style pool, fitness center and sports courts, miles of walking and biking trails, and nearby Watersound® Town Center.

"Lived in the neighborhood for 40 years short-term rentals have been the downfall to our community . And to think a realtor would advertise for up to 14 people is outrageous. All for a out-of-state buyer to start renting or a local person who doesn't live in it. Just a good way to ruin a good neighborhood. Now on the other hand, it would be a great house for family of three or four, but it doesn't really matter what we think. "
  • Bluemtnwolf
"People are so friendly and homes are beautiful and just a few minutes from the beach. Love living here! N"
  • Cleon
    "Commute is easy"
  • Trulia User
"An old fashioned neighborhood with many houses having front porches. Children can safely walk to friends' houses. Sidewalks are on all streets. Amenities include a gym, swimming pool, kayaks to use on the lake, pavillion and cook out facilities available for use. A great place for families. "
  • Trulia User
"Margaritaville! Great place for active adults. Neighbors are wonderful, bands Friday and Saturday nights. Many activities. The on site restaurant has great food at good values. It has been more than I expected and I feel blessed to live here. ❤️❤️❤️❤️"
  • Trulia User
"Movie nights, food events, performers brought in to entertain, fund raising events, chili cook off, cookie swap, bingo, food club, golfing, swimming, exercise, and more. "
  • Kelly Ellis
"Community is very tight knit and very safe. A lot of attractions and live events. Beaches are breathtaking and are family friendly "
  • John C.
"Shot commute, little traffic, that takes less than 15 minutes. I am also just as close to the beach!"
  • Patty Rivera
"Festivals, concerts, fairs, arts & crafts, bike week, circus, food truck events, plays, musicals, church events, etc"
  • John C
"Low traffic and a short commute were some of the reasons I moved here from a large city. Do have more traffic during the vacation periods."
  • Ether Leigh Luckey
"Full time residents more than renters is definitely a plus. Love the fact you can have your pets. Golf carts are a plus as well. I love being near the lagoon to get in our boat for the day."
  • MW
"It’s dog friendly and safe. No real complaints. There’s a handful of outdoor TNR’d cats on every street , but that has not been a problem for us, and in fact, the dogs love to watch and chase them lol "
  • Tiffescue
"Like old school when you grew up as a kid. Very quiet but friendly. I can go on a walk and leave my door unlocked "
  • Hallmanclint
"Easy to walk dogs. Plenty of quiet streets and parks to walk dogs. There is also a dog beach by the pier at Pier Park"
  • Trulia User
"Average. 15-20 minutes to mall on days without traffic. On days with heavy traffic it can take up to any hour to get to the mall"
  • Hallmanclint
"Lots of traffic. There is no real off season here anymore. Population of 18k people but 4.5 million visit and the infrastructure has not been updated to meet the traffic needs. "
  • Hoperecon88
"I e lived here for 20+ years and I love it and the night life and day life and employment I luv it!"
  • Trulia User
"Visiting and love to visit the neighborhoods. I want to move here each visit. I am still looking for our perfect house. "
  • Laurie Swartz
"I do not know. I do not have a dog. I do t see a lot of dogs a few but not a lot. Most condo only allow owners to have pets"
  • Deborah Leigh
"Designated beach for dogs. But it’s not a large beach as far as dog area. Beaches on off season should allow dogs. "
  • Deborah Leigh
"Close to the beach and pier park in summer way to much traffics takes more than 25 minutes to go 1 mile "
  • Trulia User
