8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLa Tercera is a fantastic school. The STEM program offers students opportunities to think like a scientist not only in the science lab and Maker Space settings, but from a social/emotional perspective too. If student conflict arises, teachers, classified employees, or the principal will work together with students to address the matter at hand. Solutions include immediate intervention to discuss the actions that lead to conflict, in addition to "Think Sheets" which provide students the opportunity to step outside of themselves and participate in self-reflection. The school also focuses on community engagement with events like Family Dance Night, Scavenger Hunts, Engineering Night, as well as other great activities. Field trips are fun and educational with trips to museums, Gold Country, and more as they relate to STEM. Additionally, PE, art and music education are included in the the learning experience. Lastly, the site practices inclusion, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for students in the special education program. From my experience, for the last 7 years, La Tercera has been impactful and instrumental in creating a successful learning environment for its students.Parent Review8mo ago21 Reviews - Miwok Valley Language Academy Charter

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two children here and they are both excelling. The small class sizes are great, the lessons are wonderfully engaging. They love going to the science lab, the music class, yoga and PE teachers. The librarian takes a particular interest in what books children like making it fun to read. The field trips I have attended have been great too. We have enjoyed each teacher and staff member we come across, there really is a family energy and time to get to know each kid and their family. Last year we had some great community events and fundraisers by the PTO too. I hope to get more involved since my kids are really enjoying it!Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Old Adobe Elementary Charter School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, Casa Grande High School is a good school. There are adults present that can be trusted and can be a great resource to the students. My only issue with this school is the inconsistency with its administration and its scheduling. It is absurd that a high school should have 3-4 vice principals and a new principal every damn year. Sure, the new schedule offers some extra time for the students who need it, but isn't that what study skills is used for. Why impose a school wide study skills regimen when most students don't actually need the extra time in school and would benefit greatly if they just went home at an earlier time. Students have lives larger than school. Not all students have the same lives, and it is time for the school to address it. Some students have jobs or other responsibilities to attend to. If the school wants to help the students who need extra help, they should work on actually keeping there study skills students in the class instead of letting them roam the campus for an hour. Lastly, when it comes to there top students and the possibility of graduating early, they never once discuss it, and when you bring it up to the counselors, they immediately shoot down the idea. They ask questions like "why would you even want to graduate early", "Don't you want to have the senior experience", and "you want a headstart on what, there is no difference if you become a lawyer or doctor at 33 rather than 34".Other Review8mo ago14 Reviews - Kenilworth Junior High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would not recommend this school, multiple kids carry drugs and smoke at school and crafty harmful things around, they give too much homework to my daughter and half of the time she’s complaining about her some of her teacher are treating her like trash probably because of her race, always complaining about people cussing and the principal does not care about anything except for if they’re doing as little as skipping class, when I went for back to school night everything looked dirty and gross so I have already switched my daughter out but I would NOT recommendParent Review3mo ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near Hopper St.

"I work from home. But I drive my son to school and some times it takes 15 minutes and sometimes it takes 25 minutes, it can get congested downtown. There is also a small, 2 car train and a free bus that is available. "

"People sometimes let their dogs roam without a leash on and and this can be dangerous since most times the dogs are being territorial when you run into them. "

"It’s miserable. The traffic around town has tripled in the last few years. I don’t know how they think all the people in the houses they are building are going to get around but we can’t have any more cars on our roads; they just weren’t designed for this many people"

"It’s a bit pricey. Also, if you a looking to rent, and have a large dog over 25 lbs., it is doubly hard to fine anything other than an apartment. And open space is a premium in taking care of the dogs needs."
