    About this House

Large 32,000+/- acre ranch that can be purchased as one large ranch or eight smaller individual ranches. This Tract is located on the north side of the ranch with Highway 287 as its northern border. It was at this location that Mr. Hudson chose to raise his herd of camels. Travelers often stopped to take pictures of the camels and the site was well known across the region. If one term could be used to describe this tract, it would be Wide Open Spaces. Although some prominent bluffs and creeks exist mostly across the northern portion of the property, the land is well suited for either pasture or possibly row-crop operations.

This Tract could be purchased with Tract 3 and Tract 4 resulting in a 10,175 acre ranch bordered by Highway 287 on the north side and FM 2384 on the west side. The property has some older oil production facilities consisting of well sites and tank batteries. The oil lease roads have been utilized for ranching and hunting purposes providing access from the west and from the north. Several hills located in the southern half of the property provide spacious edge-of-the earth views where a house could be located that would offer the owner almost full coverage of the entire property.

A intermittent stream runs east-west across the northern portion of the property and separates the larger pastures from the pens located along Highway 287. This stream could be interred to provide a very nice lake or series of lakes.

The native grasses include buffalo grass, sideoats gramma, blue gramma and Texas wintergrass; as well as numerous other weeds and forbs. The predominant tree cover is mesquite, with hackberry and elm being found along the creeks and bottoms.
Highway 287, Iowa Park, TX 76367 is a lot/land. This property is not currently displayed as for sale or rent on Trulia. The Trulia Estimate rent is $1,061/month.
