DeKalb County High School, was nothing special and often failed me. It was lacking in resources and even the teachers at the time lacked life. Nothing outstanding, not even mid. I was able to graduate and continue my education, but that it because of my own motivation, not because I felt this school helped me in anyway. Unless you were involved in sports, or knew a teacher personally in some way, you school-life was spent in basically darkness without help or a friendly face. I graduate early, along with many other bright students, but I feel this was because the children were especially bright and motivated, not the school or teachers. The only good thing through my high school life was the library and librarian. Even those changed; they got a new librarian my last year and having visited a year prior, I am saddened to see that the library is a computer room (good for technical reasons) with only a single wall of of books.

As a student who went her for four years, it was amazing!!! All of the teachers are so nice and there are barely ever any fights. I think I heard of like two in the whole four years I was there. The whole school is so connected as well as the community. They welcome you, and don't allow any disruptive behavior. This school was amazing!!! I moved and the city schools are way harder and some of them have students literally throwing chairs and they don't even get punished.
