I see the ratings on this school are old. Don't believe the positive ratings on this site. This is truely an awful school system just look at their test scores on the Mississippi education department website they speak for themselves. Too bad I can't give it 0 stars.

The worst school ever they don't care about there students especially the ones with learning disabilities they allow bullying and cover up everything

N.H. Pilate Middle School has had a bad reputation for years. It stems from racial dissension in the community, though many people would not attribute the problems of the district to race. The children at Pilate are just that: children. They need guidance from teachers, counselors, and principals just like every other child. The students here will behave and perform well if they know you care. I will always love Pilate Middle School for the children and the learning conducive environment created by the principals and the teachers, and I would recommend the school to any parent considering the Newton Municipal School District.
