7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you are a conservative white Christian, this school is excellent for you! However, children and staff will treat you badly if you are different. Some employees, not all. My family has been the target of discrimination on the part of the principal, Mr. Welch. The school board has been called and e-mailed numerous times, yet they make no effort to resolve the issue. My kids told others they weren't Christians, and the bullying that followed was so awful they want to leave the school and transfer to another one where they can pretend to be Christians. That strikes me as a significant issue. Louisiana appears to have lost sight of our nation's commitment to religious liberty. Freedom from religion is also implied by this. The school needs to resolve the issue.Other Review2y ago7 Reviews - West Monroe High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA SCHOOL/ COMMUNITY FOUNDED ON RACISM! Josie Barton - the captain of the cheer team - and her friends recorded themselves saying that they have to lock their car doors because they were in “niggerville” while giggling. Since then, this has resurfaced a lot of issues with the school such as the school mascot being the “rebels” which represents the confederacy and everything it stood for and also the bullying of students of color - which happens quite frequently. No actions have been taken. This school does not care about the real American history or equal rights. The educators, superintendents, principals, chairmen all have a part to play in the way these students conduct themselves so THEY are allowing racism and prejudice to continue!Parent Review4y ago15 Reviews - West Ridge Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school in 6th and 7th grade, I was on pep squad and drill team. 6th grade was probably the worst year of my life. I wouldn’t ever wish the year I had on my worst enemy! I was bullied super bad by 7th and 8th graders in PE, in PE I was constantly bullied for being not good at the games like volley tennis and dodge ball. And when I emailed and told the teachers THEY DID N O T H I N G. In 7th things got better due to me being in drill team PE instead of regular PE. Life was better but I was still made fun and talked about by others. On another note the advanced classes are great and I learned a lot! I wouldn’t say I would recommend this school but I can tell you that you will learn lots and try to avoid choosing the wrong friends.Other Review1y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near Future Rd.

"Sometimes it can be a little chaotic depending on school traffic. Would be much better also if the train didn’t stop traffic almost every morning. But for the most part it’s not to bad. Evening commute is by far the easiest "

"We bought our house here 23 years ago. It used to have lots of children at play, but they’ve all grown up, married and moved away, and our community is more like a retirement area now. It’s quiet and MOST HOMES are owned by the residents…not a lot of renters around here. "

"The only real event I know of is the Redneck Christmas parade every year. I don’t attend it. Halloween brings Trick-or-Treaters. Unfortunately, after 23 years of living here, we hope to move to an area with more for our grandson to participate in, without our having to drive 30 minutes to get him to a fun event. "

"Not enough family friendly activities or attractions what is available is usually very overpriced but there are at least some things available rather than nothing at all events are spread allover the city which is nice but also shows the need for a central location to hold events "
