6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethe only good thing about this school is students you befriend and even then its just constant drama and theyre really rude. teachers are always super hit or miss but ALL the math teachers are RUDE INSULT STUDENTS & suck at keeping up with grades and keeping students updated meanwhile the parents are always informed of incorrect information. i hate this school and I cant wait till I graduate.Student Review4mo ago7 Reviews - Hornedo Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am writing this review with my son to include his honest feedback. As a parent, I am very happy with the school and the academic program they provide. I feel like my son is advancing at a good pace and his teachers pursue excellence and have robust communication with parents with regards to school events and academic performance. When deciding to enroll at Hornado I did extensive research comparing this school with other junior high schools in the El Paso area, and Hornado stood out for its high percentage of student, students meeting math science, and reading proficiencies, which was important to me.From my son‘s perspective the strengths of the school are:1) the music program- they have a fantastic band/orchestra/choir.2) the teachers stand out for their willingness to help before and after school, if a student is struggling with a concept which shows they truly care.Weaknesses of the school include occasional overly harsh punishments for small misdemeanors such as forgetting student IDs, also the traffic for pick up and drop off. There seems to be a very small group of troublemakers that sometimes get into fights, but that doesn’t seem to spill over into the general student body or cause issues such as bullying in my son’s opinion (6th grader).Overall, we are very happy here and I would recommend the school others.Parent Review1mo ago17 Reviews - Marguerite J Lundy Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLundy Elementary is truly a special place where students, families, and staff come together with heart. The teachers go above and beyond to make learning engaging, and the principal and support staff always make you feel welcome and heard. The office staff especially Melissa and Allyson go above and beyond to help you and make you feel welcome. The sense of community is amazing—everyone looks out for one another, and it’s clear that every child is valued and encouraged to thrive. We are so grateful to be part of the Lundy family!Parent Review7mo ago32 Reviews - Check out schools near Freeway.

"Lots of traffic with idiot drivers all over the place driving like we’re playing bumper cars. Oh, and because of all the uninsured foreigners driving here plus sandstorms, your insurance will jump up just for moving here."

"Quiet, private neighborhood. Neighbors are nice but keep to themselves which is a plus. Beautiful nearby parks, close to everything. Only downside is the traffic on Artcraft sometimes. But otherwise, we love this neighborhood!"

"The Westside is lively, scenic naturescape, and basically all of it is pretty pet-friendly. It’s rlly seems like it was built just for dogs (and their humans, we guess). Take your dog for a walk at the stunning Moutin view roads or for a drive to one of its many dog parks. Bonus: You'll find more space for much cheaper here than downtown, which means more space for your pup to have fun!"

"the neighborhood is really nice but if you don't maintain your yard, if you have a semi parked at your house and if you have a party beware, they will call the cops, they will call code enforcement. "
