7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to the GISD school district when our kids were in 3rd and 8th grade. Moving was hard for them, but the support they received from the schools here was priceless, first at Benold Middle School and McCoy Elementary, and then continuing every year as both girls attended Georgetown High School.Mr. Johnson and all the APs are kind, friendly, and supportive, and they make a real effort to know students and families personally. The teachers at GHS are exceptional. The coaches have been mentors and champions for the kids, helping them grow in mindset, life skills, responsibility, and character, as well as in their sport. There are so many opportunities for students to get involved in clubs, sports, extracurricular activities, and areas of personal interest. I am truly grateful for the faculty and staff at GHS and for the GISD district as a whole. I would highly recommend GHS and am so thankful for our years here.PS - The FRC (future readiness complex for STEM and electives with hand-on learning) is AMAZING and a GIFT to the district and High School students.Parent Review4w ago25 Reviews - Pat Cooper Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhere to begin.. let start with the Meet the teacher, we are new to the area and the first impression with the administration was not great, you could tell they weren't happy to be there, My 2nd graders Teacher is amazing, but the students are extremely mean and disrespectful I have lost count on how many times we have gotten messages about the student being disrespectful AND inappropriate comments and that we need to have a talk with our kids, we have even gotten messages about phone usage during class. When my 2nd grader never had issues before with making friends with anyone and now has a hard time making friends and coming home crying about the kids being mean and there's nothing that is really done. Then there is my 4th Grader... The 1st teacher we had she was rude and really didn't care what we had to say and was not welcoming, our son is Autistic and we needed to have more then a 2 second conversation with her and she really did not care what we had to say about him she was more worried about shoving papers in our face and going on to the next so right there we knew that there was going to be an issue. then not even a week or two into the school year my 4th grader had pooped himself (multiple student apparently) and with him being at a new school and with his autism he will not speak up and didn't know where to go, he did try and clean himself up but it was everywhere, it was clear on video that he not only pooped himself and its was down his leg ALL the other kids were complaining and NOT ONE STAFF MEMBER OR HIS OWN TEACHER did anything so he SAT in his own facies from just before lunch until after school when we got home we were obviously LIVID he was then transfer to another class and this teacher is amazing to him. But again there is issues with the bulling and disrespectful kids in his grade as well, we have had a lot of issues with him coming home and having major melt downs. With the whole absence thing they want your kids to have as much schooling (100% agree with it) but you can't get your child after 2 you have to wait for dismissal i'm sorry but if I want my child I will get my child, I do not care if its the rule they are my children not yours I will get MY children. The office staff are extremely rude every time we've come into contact with them, they are clearly miserable and hate their jobs. Next year IF we are still in the same neighborhood I will be homeschooling. There is so much more I can say but I have reached my limit of words.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Charles A Forbes Middle School

"Great area for walking dogs. People are very welcoming to dog owners. A few parks in the area for them to run and roam. "

"Walkable and lots of other dogs, but no sidewalk so that can be a con for sure especially in the Texas summers"

"There is so many dogs barking all the time being left outside at night, in certain areas. There is a nice trail for walking your dog. "

"The yards are extremely small, not level and not well irrigated, especially with how much rain we get. This makes for muddy dog feet every time they come in. There are loose dogs ALL THE TIME. "

"I work remote. 20 minutes to Georgetown and Round Rock and 40% less home cost. 30 minutes from Austin and 60-80% cheaper"

"Property taxes are higher than advertised. Hoa does very little. No animal noise ordinance for thos area. No sidewalks. Cars constantly speeding through neighborhoods. No community events locally."

"Hoa is horrible. No sidewalks. No loud dog ordinance. Property taxes are higher than advertised. 2.99 percent. Traffic speeds thru neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and research this area before you buy. Always having water issues. High in contaniments. I tested our tap water. It has lead and high flouride levels. Buyer beware."

"Sadly dog play area is full of fleas and would not recommend anyone to bring their dogs there. Other than that it’s nice"

"We live here and we love it! It is a very nice community with a very nice country setting. Very quiet and friendly area surrounded by a lot of professional and outgoing people. A very nice place to call home thanks to Ashley Singh. She was able to meet all of our needs and accomadate us very well in our transition to this well established community."

"I have worked and lived here since July 2007 the people are very nice and quite and clean and take pride in their homes and town homes/duplexes and apartments. It is growing all the time and more nice homes are being built. The water is good. The schools are great and parents are proud to be involved. It is a great area and great place to call home. Crime is very low because it is Williamson county and they don't up with crime here. Georgetown is 8 to 10 minutes from here and the toll road 130 will get you anywhere pretty quickly. The rents are very reasonable and you get a lot of space for your money. It is a nice place to call home! "

"I grew up here. It's very safe but not developed enough for close shopping. There are pools and different playgrounds around town for kids though."
