7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf your kid has an IEP, don’t come here. I’ve heard from the lady once (maybe twice at most this year) about my child. We updated our address at end of year, now my kid has no way of getting to school for the last week because the bus won’t allow her on it anymore.Parent Review3y ago8 Reviews - Elliott Point Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been overly happy with Elliott Point versus a prior private school in the county that my son went to. The faculty actually cares for students and hopes they succeed.Parent Review6y ago4 Reviews - Choctawhatchee Senior High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student of CHS and the administration is absolutely horrible, I honestly wish florida wasn’t a 2 party consent state so i could have recorded the things admin as well as teachers were saying about not only each other but other students. And do not expect to get anything done with the counselors they are also extremely unprofessional and they do not care about you or your student they care about having the most relaxed day they can. I have also been told by multiple teachers and staff that the counselors like to talk a lot of trash about the students that actually like to make the counselors do there job instead of dragging a 5 minute conversation through 3 weeks of emails.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO BE SUCCESSFUL.Other Review2mo ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near First St SE.

"Yes there are bears, snakes, & alligators in Florida, but we have lived in the subdivision associated with this post for 22 years and have never seen any of them. Bridgeport Colony is a hidden gem in Ft Walton Beach and extremely pleasant to live in."

"Good neighborhood. However, there is wild bear problems. We must keep our trash inside until trash day or the bears will rummage our trash. The bears also destroy fences and rain gutters. We do not walk around this neighborhood because of the bears. Though i see a few people walking their dogs."

"Dogs are welcomed by most except landlords. A large percentage of the population owns pets and no one wants pets in the home they are renting. We wonder why there’s a high number of strays and animals in the pound."

"Easy to both bases, about 10 min to Eglin Med gate and 15 min to Hurlburt back gate. About 15-20 min to Okaloosa island except for peak times and summer can be 40 min."

"You need a car or bike to get around. The downtown area is easy to get to. The beach is 10 minutes by car as well, except on Saturday in the summer when all the vacationers check into their hotels or VRBO condos then the traffic is a nightmare. "
