We just came here from a large school and my son, who normally dreaded school, is excited about going to school! He even does his homework without me asking..(who is this child? :-) The small class sizes allow personal attention and the office staff is beyond amazing! He loves math and with the larger school, he was lost in the shuffle as long as he didn't need help. Here, he has already been challenged with a "clicker" answer remote so the teacher can see if the students understand without the possible embarrassment of the student (nobody but the teacher and student know who clicked), he likes to be the first one to click correctly. The principle and superintendent are always available if needed and very welcoming! Even the students made my son, who is very shy, feel at ease. There are plenty of activities and technology is amazing. Coming from our large school (and brand new) I was happy to see that this beautiful old building is not lacking with modern day technological necessities. Graphing calculators were issued, computers are current, and anything else you can think of. This small town school was the best decision we have made! I look forward to the years to come.
