If you have a child that has any kind of learning disability expect a to be disappointed. It has been such an issue in this school to get supports needed for my child. It’s not only the special education department that needs work. This school is so broken. I honestly feel like most of the teachers are just there because it’s a job and genuinely don’t care about these kids. Having 3 kids attending this school, every single grade k-8, I’ve witnessed maybe three teachers that I felt had an interest in really teaching. Bullying is outrageous, and it’s not just the kids. I’ve witnessed staff being very unkind to a child, outside staff such as bus drivers making rude comments to kids. Over the years there has been countless issues that are never addressed by the school.

"The lake and associated playground is very nice. Local parks with sports fields/courts. Outdoor recreation in all directions. A lot of seasonal/vacation homes so it can feel quiet at times. "

"Safe schools, great youth sports, no pool, an awesome place to raise kids if you get involved.... great summer camp program at the park, and vibrant activities downtown. Try to live on East Side if you can."

"I work remotely. Traffic in the area is usually very light. Downtown can get backed up. You are better off avoiding travel through that area on weekends unless you want to go shopping. "

"People like to walk their dogs here and never clean up the poop. Traffic can be awful and parking too. Too many nearby businesses don't have enough parking so tourists have to park here. There is also much speeding through this little street. Good point is there is a lot of wildlife to watch and generally nice neighbors."

"Want it all!!! Live here and be on vacation all the time. All Pocono attractions are nearby yet area is quiet and away from any noise or traffic even during high volume visitor weekends. Don't want to be in one of those huge developments....lots of home here have no HOA or fees. "
