8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, we have had a very positive experience at CPHS. My two kids have worked hard, enjoyed many sport experiences and extra curricular. The teachers have been great. All high schools have problems, nothing is perfect. How we choose to react and learn, is the key to success.Parent Review1y ago27 Reviews - Valhalla Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSince Ms. Pappas took over as the principal, the school completely went downhill. She has been a complete disaster for the school and the kids. A bunch of the best teachers left the school because of her poor leadership. Just look at the school’s ratings. This school used to be rated 9/10 and now it is 6/10. I don’t understand how Ms Pappas is allowed to continue destroying what used to be a very good school. Teachers keep leaving, ratings keep going down, class sizes keep increasing. Ms Pappas’ innovation is to create classes where one teacher teaches 2 grade levels in the same classroom. Teachers hate it, kids hate it, and parents hate it. Ms Pappas is the only one who likes it. And I don’t know where the money is going. I haven’t seen any improvements to the school since she took over. I guess the district likes her because she is probably saving them a lot of money by increasing class sizes and driving out experienced teachers who probably cost the district more than new hires.Parent Review10mo ago29 Reviews - Valley View Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVVMS under the leadership of Mrs. Buscemi and her amazing staff is fantastic! We are so pleased with the experience our children have had here. Valley View has the BEST middle school music program in MDUSD. (Thank you , Mrs. Nesmith!) The accelerated math program really prepares the students for the next level and the parent involvement allows for so many extras for the kids. We love our school community! Coming from NYC, the parks are gorgeous and clean. A lot of restaurants and stores are in close proximity from neighborhoods. Overall it’s safe and peaceful."

"Gregory Gardens has a small town feel despite being so close to some of the largest cities in the country. People walk their dogs, kids ride their bikes to school, and most people keep up their homes so that the neighborhood still looks nice. There are a ton of older trees, which gives the neighborhood a natural vibe. "

"I work in the area - able to walk to work. There is public transit very close to me if I need to go anywhere in the bay area. However, the busses do not run the same as in Alameda and San Francisco Counties. They are far and few between with no buses on Sundays. I used to commute to South San Francisco near the Airport and that was a terrible experience on most days."

Get involved in the community! Volunteer. Join in on the fun! "
