"We have been living in Volcano, a quaint goldmining town, for three years and have been impressed with the sense of community here. All of our neighbors are neighborly. The home owners here span a variety of ages from young with children, to middle-aged, to retired. Downtown Volcano is has lots of weekend fun and there are a variety of restaruants ranging from pubs to gourmet and bed and breakfasts. You can get a freshly made sandwich or a gallon of milk at the general store. The local theatre has a regular schedule of plays. Outdoor fun includes Black Chasm Cave and Chaw'se Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park (with museum and hiking trails). Silver Lake is only 45 minutes away. Shopping (Walmart, Safeway, Costless, Lowes) nearby in Jackson and Martell. "
