NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of our kids have attended Chesak and experience through both have been great. The teachers and admin staff have been great. Every year our kids think their teacher is the best teacher they have had. They're skilled with pushing but not overburdening the students. Our daughter was able to get into advanced placement in her next school and hoping our son (in 1st grade now) will do the same. A big thank you to everyone at Chesak!!Parent Review5y ago6 Reviews - Martin Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to our home for this district and the schools have not disappointed! Despite my children starting kinder during Covid (mostly remote and the following year with heavy restrictions) my children have had a wonderful experience. The teachers are kind, dedicated, and attentive. What I love most about campus style schooling, each school has dedicated special education, social workers, physical therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, gifted and special education classrooms, STEM, art, PE, music, band, orchestra.... While I wish we had orchestra before 5th and sports/after school activities (we do have chess and sign language) through the school, I am grateful for all the resources our school has for individual student needs. I cannot imagine trying to meet the needs of diverse learners in a smaller school, it's just incredible.Parent Review1y ago7 Reviews - Marlowe Middle School

"Lived here since 2017, it’s quiet and peaceful once you get used to the sound of the train. Neighbors are all friendly since my evil next door neighbor sold. "

"Very small tight knit family community. Community goes above and beyond for the children. Lots of fun things for the adults to do as well. Just overall very down down to earth community"

"Commute ain't too bad, it really depends on when you are leaving and which routes you take. Some streets are small and only have one lane in each direction, so those can really back up. "

"People love their pets: dogs and cats. Dogs are outside on walks with their humans all the time. Dog park in town, and some restaurants have paws on the patio! "

"People are nice but traffic is bad because people in Woodstock do not know how to drive. Other than that...it is great!"

"People are friendly and there is a sense of community. We are close to everything. I live near a park that is good for walking and exercising. There is fireworks display at the park in the summertime on the 4th of July and I can sit and watch it right outside my front door. I am also close enough to walk to the library and the Square. The real estate taxes are low"

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood since 1991 I love Woodstock but the taxes are just choking me and there’s a lot to do out here it’s a beautiful place to live but they need to fix the potholes and lower the taxes and give us more options of things to do if we’re gonna pay all these taxes therefore I am moving out of state someone else can enjoy this beautiful place and pay the outrageous taxes"

"Great place to raise a family. Good schools and public library. Good solid family oriented community built on grass roots. Plenty to eat and drink along the charming downtown square. Public transportation is close and reliable, for that weekend trip to the big city. Safe and secure neighborhoods give you your option on what part of town you want to be. Wether it is spring, summer, fall or winter there is always something to do and experience in Woodstock."
