9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSent two kids through Sandburg with a mix of experience. Neither came away feeling that they were prepared for what awaited them in high school. Good school if your child is straight down the fairway. Would not advise if your child has any emotional or social challenges or your looking for a parent school partnership.Parent Review7mo ago6 Reviews - York Community High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe snobbiness and elitism so rampant in the city of Elmhurst unfortunately carries over to York High School. The school is so huge, many students falll through the cracks. Like the city of Elmhurst, the school also wants to maintain an appearance of perfection and superiority, very ugly attitude.Student Review2y ago14 Reviews - Check out schools near E East Ct.

"Elmhurst is conveniently located within all a few miles of all major roadways, so it’s very accessible from Chicago and all neighboring states. I frequently travel to Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and southern Illinois from Elmhurst and never have to travel more than 1.5 hours!"

"Every thing I grew up here in the 70’/80’. This town has always been this way, and to be 100% honest it has gotten better. I moved to Rockford in 2000, and back to Elmhurst in 2019. I missed the peace, and absolutely Love this town... my home town!!!!!"

"Respnsible, happy dog owners all around. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog off leash in this neighborhood. I’ve never seen one dog go after another dog. I’ve never heard dogfighting. Most of the dogs in this neighborhood are small. I think there might be one beagle, a few mixed breeds about that size and some little tiny dogs. The owner of a dangerous dog, and his dog, would not be welcome here."
