"Retired. Commuting days are over. Have to go to Corpus Christi for most things. That’s a long boring drive."
    • Janet Dineen
"The neighbors keep to them selves. Not really friendly. I could be at fault for this. Very mixed. Some houses are lovely and others are trashy. "
    • Sajoatmon
"Great little housing areas for retirees. Nearest big city is 3 hours away. Corpus Christi is pretty run down and economically depressed."
    • Deanna B.
"We have a wonderful Police Department! The sense of community is also here! Just wish we had bike trails, and more shaded park areas. Drugs are a major issue here, as well as transients."
    • Jandineen123
"I work from home. Need to go to Port Aransas often. Ferry is often a long wait, especially in summer."

"Job market is definitely looking up here. Nearby large businesses are Kiewitt and Dupont both in Ingleside - less than 15 min. of easy to light traffic. New job opportunities will come with the naval base becoming commercialized and another industry beginning in Gregory (also less than 15 min. away). Public boat ramp is approximately 1 mile and the aquatic center is less than 1/2 mile straight down the street from here. They also have a park with play scapes. The aquatic center has 3 pools and they have water slides for both little ones and adults. Horse barn is capable of 3 huge box stalls and a huge tack and feed room or if you prefer, you could convert it to a work shop or storage area. The home is also handicap adapted and has all tile floors. The storm louvers also help keep the home cool in the Summer."
