8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAviston Elem. is great and well-rounded school. The students generally enjoy going to school. This school has more activities than schools in this area. From scholar bowl to sports, they are always going to state competitions. Its testing scores are among the best in the state every year. While they have gone down a little, one big reason is the vast number of new students moving into the district each year. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm a former Central student (or maybe "vintage" since I graduated in the early 90's). Those years of high school were some of the happiest of my life. I still stay in touch with a number of the friends I made there. And looking back, I was lucky. The teachers really cared about helping their students navigate through that time period by arming them with a great education. Honestly, with any school, you get out of it what you put into it. (My son goes to an all-male private school in St. Louis so I get a chance to see what that world is like. And honestly? I wouldn't trade my education or the experiences at Central for anything.Other Review8y ago
