"Thereโ€™s not much community events here just the San Antonio park events that be happening around but we verly go as well to those. "
  • Brandon Young
"There is a coffee shop, Thai restaurant and convenient store close to each other. This is a really residential neighborhood, so having these things in walking distance is pretty nice."
  • Trulia User
"It is a good neighborhood better than deep east Oakland very quiet most of the time. Thank you for the information itโ€™s been provided. The bus lines are also well and the neighborhood is just good wish the rent was a bit lower but itโ€™s ok right now. "
  • Stephen
"I've lived in the neighborhood for 2 years and absolutely love it. It's in a fantastic location that is walking distance to Lake Merritt and a short bike ride to downtown. Philomena, Xochi the Dog Cafe, Portal, and Lucky's are all right here. The neighborhood has beautiful old homes and is in an obvious transition phase. Tons of houses are getting updated and a real community pride is blossoming."
  • Trulia User
"Itโ€™s dangerous. Loud cars. Alarms. Trash on the streets. Homeless people. Cars get broken into a lot. "
  • Trulia User
"There is very limited parking, especially on street sweeping days. Many cars speed down this street and have music loud enough to shake the walls. Would not reccomend this area. "
  • John B.
"There is bart station about a 20 minute walk from where I am and there a plenty of bus stops. I can't speak for traffic because I don't drive to work."
  • Daniel B. .
"It's a fine place for dogs, not really any better or worse than most other places. My only concern would be that the neighborhood is not always safe, especially in the evenings. During the day you don't really need to worry, but it's not unusual to hear gunshots late at night. So take your dog out in the day, avoid late night walks."
  • Brit F.
"Iโ€™ve only lived here for a year. Neighbor can be a bit loud as houses are close together. People do donuts in the middle of the street. Donโ€™t park on corners."
  • Katherine M. S.
"some streets are nice and some need to be avoided at night. some streets and sidewalks are filled with trash. "
  • Acmulligan15
"Children should be accompanied by their parents. Neighborhood sees locals walking around for the liquor stores and business on international st"
  • Elisabet C. .
"peaceful neighborhood close to lake Merritt. Itโ€™s beautiful we have grocery stores near the area parks and itโ€™s a quiet neighborhood. "
  • Cherisehbutler
"Diversity and culture. Itโ€™s a fairly age area with access to public transportation. There are children in the area who enjoy playing with each other."
