6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFirst day of school for 2025 ended in chaos. My 6 year old daughter was missing for over an hour on a school bus that she should not be assigned to because the bus stop was a mile away from my home, but that wasn’t the issue. The issue was that the principal who has been a principal there for a very long time She was the principal when my son who is 20 years old was at Cornwell’s. She did not know where my daughter was and I know this because she tried to get me to leave the school numerous times to go to a bus stop with other parents who were waiting for their kindergarten children and then she told me to go home that the bus will drop my daughter off at home. The bus finally brought my child and six other children to the school not to a bus stop not to my house to the school not once did the principal say that the bus would be coming back to the school I have never had an issue until now, but this is the biggest issue that you could have is not knowing where your child is. She also refused me communication with the bus driver and my daughter while she’s supposedly was indirect contact with someone who knew her location. I understand the first day of school can be hectic and buses run late for it to go over an hour and for her to be so nonchalant about the issue and to lie about the location of where my daughter would be and to send away parents back to bus stops and houses, knowing that the bus or not knowing that the bus would be showing up shortly back to the school is irresponsible and negligent of her I have not received an apology. I have not received anything from the school and I am not sending my daughter back until someone tells me what happened that day and how it will be fixed moving forward. I did talk to the superintendent, the police department and the mayor today is Thursday. This happened Monday. I hope that they get it together and do better for the children that we trust with them.Parent Review9mo ago13 Reviews - Bensalem Twp High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school has offered a rigorous program (Honors and AP Level). The school also has many after school activities and sports for students to get involved in. The staff has a great relationship with the students and offers many opportunities for students to be involved in the non academic community. The climate is diverse and there is something for everyone to be involved in. Overall, we have been extremely happy.Other Review5y ago9 Reviews - Robert K Shafer Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePretty good school overall. Although there are some things that should be fixed (cough) the bathrooms. The learning environment is perfect for public education. The use of programs like Schoology and Google Docs really helps us adapt to a new 21st century learning environment. The Chromebooks are great but they're annoying to carry around and if you lose your charger, good luck. Other than that, I recommend enrolling here if you recently moved to Bensalem.Student Review7y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near Dunks ferry rd.

"No answer , I only work in Bensalem . From what I see on a day to day basis depending on what neighborhood you stay you will need your car for majority of big shopping trips from your house. Convenience store roads depending on house location you might be able to walk to store "

"People don’t respect parking spots Specially when cold - snows. You shovel your vehicle out and leave the parking space for when you come back and people just take it "

"I have easy access to route 1, I-95, railroad stations which go straight into town and there is the mall and shopping centers very close by. So everything is very easy to get to. It is situated in a private development but in close proximity to shopping, and public transportation and the big highways to get practically anywhere."

"The schools in the area, crime rate, knowing that you can let your children play out front or in the yard and they will be ok. There is a sense of family and community in this area. Pelops take pride in their homes and how they look and pick up after each other "

"It is a great neighborhood to live and raise children. I personally know I can ask my neighbors for simple favors and have over my house and at the same time have my privacy. They are currently making it an even nicer place to live and I'm happy to say I live here."

"I have lived here for 30 years and so happy to say I do. The crime rate is very low, there are no half way homes in the township which can bring the morale completely down as well as decrease the property values and increase drug use to our neighborhoods. It's a beautiful, quant town to live and raise a family."
