6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have 2 daughters at Loma Verde and have been incredibly happy with our experience. The principal is a great leader and her enthusiasm for her work and love for the kids is really special. Now that our kids are in 3rd and 5th grades, I can say that each of their teachers has been wonderful. There’s a lot of parent involvement here and the sense of community is strong. We are big fans and only have positive things to say about out experience at Loma Verde Elementary.Parent Review3w ago21 Reviews - Novato High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageit’s ok. some of the teachers are horrific though. the only really good teachers i’ve had here are Ms Roberts and Ms Kinnee. And i’m a junior going into senior year. The MSA program is pretty good though and most people are nice. My teachers have not been understanding about my ADHD though. All my teachers got sent a letter from my psychologist about it and only one of my teachers acknowledged the email.Student Review4y ago7 Reviews - San Jose Middle

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school is terrible! all this school cares about is gum and phones. if they see you chewing gum you get a referral and get detention. if you have your phone in your pocket you get a referral and get a detention. but if there is a fight, a bully or vaping they literally dont care. i swear. The food is literally so gross. my child found hair in the food. the only problem they actually tried to solve was “the bathroom vaping problem.” the 6th grades were feel unsafe because the 8th grades were vaping. so they decided to separate the bathrooms. they gave the 8th grade girls a bathroom with only 2 stalls and one of them was broken and never was fixed. from all the way across the school you could see the persons feet who is that stall. but then the 6ths got the brand new bathroom. also the boys who smear poop on the wall. the people who strangle at school are not being helped. the drama class is so spoiled. they get so much money for that program for no reason. if you saw the band program all the instruments are falling apart and there is no stable teacher. also the school doesn’t have enough teachers. they literally give untrained people who don’t know what there doing to “teach” the students. PLEASE IF YOU LOVE YOUR CHILD DONT SEND THEM HERE!!!Other Review2y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near Drive.

"Many people walk their dogs here and there is a pretty good dog park. Not everyone is friendly however and many people will actively avoid you if they see you with a dog. This is the opposite of mendocino county where I made lots of close relationships with my neighbors from dog walking. I would not expect that here."

"I have lived within walking distance of downtown Novato for over 15 years. In the past five years, I feel the town seems to be making more of an effort to create events. There are a good variety of restaurants and grocery stores. It’s safe and there is great access to nature and hikes, particularly Indian Valley Campus is beautiful. My neighbors are kind and the area is dog friendly. I feel fairly safe, though I would not walk alone at night as a woman. There is some homelessness and I have been harassed before by people who are drunk or on drugs, but this is an issue in any city these days. It’s not frequent. That said, it’s very expensive to live here and it gets very hot! Make sure you have AC"

"There are numerous dog parks across Novato. Even if you are walking your dog in your immediate neighborhood, the sidewalks and walking paths are pretty clean. Just about everyone is friendly and accepting of dogs on a leash. "

"Great walking areas; coast trails, biking, parks, art museum and convenient shopping nearby. Not far off major highway. Quiet, peaceful, community advocates for keeping areas in good condition. Some security walls are in need of repair but overall well cared for neighborhoods. "
