6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child enjoyed his time at Central. His teachers were generally engaging, supportive, and really cared about his progress. The teachers were well organized and communicated with families on a regular basis. I do wish that tests and quizzes were announced at least a week ahead of time by all teachers, as sometimes I would only find out about them one or two days before. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does the bare minimum to protect students who are victims of bullying and racism. They would prefer it if the victim left the school as opposed to the actual problem so they don't have to deal with it. Even when presented with video footage of specific incidences, the problems continued. The entire district as a whole makes me sick to my stomach. As a parent, it is beyond frustrating to have your hands tied while the school all but condones the acts they claim to have a zero tolerance for while your own child suffers. The school is suppose to protect our children, and Flushing has failed on COUNTLESS occasions. Shame on you, Flushing District. Teachers help you out when you need it, and will keep on helping you. All students are very nice and helpful here. I HIGHLY suggest to take your child here.Other Review9y ago
