"South-Central PA is really a great area in general to find a nice abode. Dover, however, is nice because of its locale to York as well as Harrisburg. Small town feel with everything you'd need from a city close by. We enjoy the area, and love how close so many other states are to go and explore. "
  • Mattsindlinger
"People keep their dogs on leashes and clean up after them. Many places have sidewalks on both sides of the road. "
  • Dcsales728
"I live in a rural, private part of Dover, it's quiet and safe, I know all of my neighbors. Nice place to live."

"Northeastern school district is not good. I would not recommend this school district to other parents."
  • an
"There are some parks in the area that someone is always trying to do something fun. Not a lot of chain restaurants or stores in the area, so it isn’t super busy."
  • Atstube
"It is a half a second to one minute process. Now with more b to b being carried out by phone, going from deep sleep to work is two rings by the telephone. A serious day of work though begins at nine in a quite area of the house."
  • Kelly M.
"I’ve lived in this town for a year now and it is a great small town! I find it’s a great proximity to other towns I need to visit and I love it here! "
  • Rvega44
"Were the good Restaurants are and who the good neighbors are and the good churches are, and the good churches "

  • Cassandra S.
"Lehr park star gazing, summer movies, library program, bingo, carnival in the summer, community pool (green valley-membership required. No one bothers you. People keep their houses and yards neat in my development which keeps property value high."
  • Javeba M.
"It’s quiet, safe, clean and everyone keeps to themselves but also friendly. Great location as well. "
  • Zerbeh82
"I work from home so don’t commute regularly. When I do drive to work it’s once a month over 50 miles away and traffic in this area is minimal at 6:45 am "
  • dcsales728
"This is a safe low crime area with good schools away from the inner city, it's ilk, and its troubles. Recommend living here if you have children. "
  • dcsales728
"I commute to York city. I would never live there. That's why I live in Dover. I don't mind the drive to work. The Dover school district is great. Taxes here are HIGH but it keeps the undesirables out."
  • Mary M.
"Love the area. Country setting yet close to main roads. People are friendly. State park nearby. Dover has many community events year round. Restaurants, local produce, ice cream shops available. Great fire and police departments "
  • Belladzyns
"I have lived here for 12 years and it’s very nice and quite here. At nighttime it’s so quite just sitting on my porch it’s very peaceful."
