8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool is alright but some teachers don’t care about your education and some do. Many teacher are very questionable in many ways including not having favorite students to hate on on or just sometimes rude. Principals are alright there punishments are very off. They will suspend someone for a werk and make them take out the trash for something little. But if someone gets caught bullying or saying racist remarks they give them warnings. Sometimes homework is a lot but it depends on how good the teacher is . Overall a decent school with a lot of good teachers but the school is very questionable on many aspectsOther Review4y ago5 Reviews - John F. Ryan Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile I have liked most of the teachers and community members at the Ryan School, I have found that there are a couple of teachers - specifically the art teacher - who are disrespectful and rude to my child. The art teacher had never spoken to me or seen me in the real world but decided it was fine to send a truly harsh and rude email filled with pure hatred for my child. It is completely unacceptable to essentially tell a stranger how much you hate their child. Who does that?? On top of that, she wrote negative things on the report card while other teachers had very good things to say about my kid. The rest of the Ryan School is good though - they have a great Choir program and involved teachers/staff.Parent Review2y ago3 Reviews - Loella F. Dewing Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had a wonderful experience with the Pre-K program at the Dewing School. Teachers are both effective and compassionate, and my daughter has made wonderful progress both socially and academically. The kids are great, and teachers are there to teach them problem-solving skills when conflicts do arise. We love this school!Parent Review7y ago3 Reviews - Tewksbury Memorial High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely terrible school. The attendance is horrible and the admin seems like they couldent care less about the students they are just there to get a paycheck and go home. As soon as I told the guidance department I wasn’t interested in going to college they told me it was impossible to be successful without a degree and tossed me aside. Now after three years in the construction industry I make more than most of the teachers ever will and am happy with my career choice. Many other alumni got tricked into college and ended up dropping out after a year or two and having student debt for nothing. I would never say a good word about this school after wasting four years there.Other Review4y ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near Dickson Ave.

"Good restaurants (especially if you like Italian and/or pub food), great youth soccer fields, the playground is new and has a water pad. Definitely need a car, though. "

"It's a safe place for everyone, but there's not many sideways or lights. I'm not too sure about the school, but all I know is that it's not too diverse. "

"Except schools, this place is awesome for living. Close to most of the shopping like marker basket, Walmart, good restaurants."

"Lived here for just over a year in a small townhouse community. Most neighbors are friendly. Pet friendly but not much for the kids only because it’s an odd location where we are located. Park is nearby."

"It's safe. The only thing that I dont like is that there's not a real downtown area. There's not much lights around the area nor sidewalks. "

"it's pretty easy going here. it's calm and quiet most of the time. I haven't noticed any significant crime. it's a fairly clean town, compared to a lot of places here. "

"The school are decent. I like the way the school have the different grades set up. You have a choice to also go to one of the top rated technical trade schools on the state. There is a very involved community cheerleading and football. "

"It’s very convenient to a lot of places. It is near 3 commuter rail stations. It’s close enough to my work. I live on conservation land very quiet. "

"We have lived here since 1994. Our development was a wonderful place for our children to grow up. I am looking forward to letting another family have our space to raise their children. And we will be ready to open a new chapter in several years."

"There are three golf course in the area, one within eyesight of the neighborhood and we have a pond view. The neighborhood is conveniently placed near 3 major highways and malls, but has a more rural suburban feel. Because of the pond and woodsy areas around us, we have beautiful wildlife such as deer, otters, herons, and ducks. Also, 40 minutes or less you can get to downtown Boston by highway or train and drive to the beach! Downtown Lowell is located less than 10 minutes away by car for restaurants, shopping, theater, bars, and outdoor live music during the summer months."

"This area of Tewksbury is beautiful. There is a wooded area leading to the Shawsheen river close by. You get the best of both worlds - the beauty of nature and wildlife and the mini mall with Market Basket, CVS and Papa Gino's within walking distance. The neighborhood is friendly and family oriented. I moved here from the inner city 8 years ago and absolutely love it!"

"I agree with the other post that is it is bad construction wise, I can hear them snoring on the other side of the wall from me and sometimes when people come in late you can hear them going by your door and entering their apartment and talking. I put up with it because of the location but honestly I can't wait to leave."
