  • Jorge Orellana
"There are business owners that live here, and the beautiful homes are maintained well. The neighbors are always friendly and say hello to each other"
  • Knoellel51391
"I just like the feel of middle island and what it has to offer. It clean and most people are friendly. I have not lived here for very long but so far I am happy with the town. More stores could be added but for the most part I am happy with everything that is here. Could be cleaned up a little But"
  • Callan D.
"People drive very quickly down side streets but it’s overall a very safe area, it’s been a great starter home for us and our toddlers "
  • Monahead81
"We are going to have a community concert this summer. The civic association is really helpful and always doing events including the concert."
  • Eugene F.
"Middle Island is extremely diverse. This part of town is great, but there is riff raff that comes through here. Not the worst not the best, but somewhat affordable for LI."
  • Nicholas M.
"good area, peaceful. most people are laid back. I like this area much better vs. coram or seldon wich is not far."
  • Nicholas M.
"Great quiet area, plenty of spacious homes/yards. & plenty of places to go walking running & dog walking safely. "
  • Eugene F.
"There is a Town owned dog park in the village, but your dog must be registered with the town to use it, and it’s kinda tucked back in the woods. Lots (and I mean lots) of trails if you like to hike with your dogs."
  • Desiree V.
"Lots of space for your dog to run. Kids are safe in this neighborhood, it's just really expensive to live here."
  • Darnesha H.
"Around this time especially on weekends is very busy due to the Farm stands around. For the most part traffic isn’t bad at all."
  • Juliet.e.morales
"Bad area crack heads right down the block not safe to trust kids walking alone, people do not pick up after dogs and people litter everywhere "
  • Trulia User
"There are good schools, parks, shopping and family entertainment in this neighborhood. For adult fun, Patchogue is just 15 minutes away!"
  • Katrina R.
"The owners and dogs would love it out here. It’s has enough walking for the dogs and owners, very friendly area. "
  • Rszpak104
"It’s a good neighborhood for living and raising your family! Many shops and close to outlets and wineries! Awesome suburban life style !"
  • Joanna G.
"All near by beaches, Night life and really great resturants and bars on the patchagou strip, great activities to do with area. like miniture golf, go karts, paint ball, and much more things."
  • Ttirello
"It's a great quiet, peaceful community to live in..:)"
  • Lddoc
"Live here, never have problems except when it snows! The town contractors are poor at real snow removal, and don't pay attention to detail like mailboxes, curb lines etc. otherwise it's a great area to live in"
  • Phyxer
"living here has been great! but as I get older, I need to downsize and get away from the maintenance of a house, the area is wonderful, our woods is alive with natural deer, possum, raccoons, cats, and all sorts of other small creatures! Like having your own conservation area."
  • Gene F.
"I own a home in the 11953 area. This is a safe and clean neighborhood. The neighbors are friendly and pleasant. The Fire Department is above par. There are a few low income housing units however, for the most part, the people are nice and there isn't too much trouble. There are many shopping centers conveniently located both on Middle Country Road, and to the north in Miller Place. The LIE is nearby, Port Jefferson is about 15 to 20 minutes away, Riverhead is about 20 minutes away, as is Patchogue. There are many farm stands and landscaping shops. "
  • Lddoc
"The area is highly underrated! Too many low budget realtors forcing low prices to make fast sales(commissions are king!!!) The general area is good, few problems anywhere in the whole area and surrounding areas. Good people, no real crime, sometimes annoying motorcycle traffic because of the local road design, but all in all a great place to live!"
