8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAvoid this school for the next 4-5 years. The district is currently remodeling the campus and the project has been very disruptive.Construction occupies roughy three-quarters of the outdoor space that students previously used during recess. The noise level is significant and can be especially distracting for younger children. There have also been occasional issues with strong odors around the construction areas serious enough thatOther Review5mo ago16 Reviews - Rolling Hills Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of a 6th grader nearing the end of the first year at Rolling Hills, I’ve generally observed a positive experience for my child. One of his teachers is terribly disorganized and needs constant reminding to update grades or fix her mistakes. The music teacher is phenomenal and this is the real highlight for my son. The bands and choirs improve significantly at each performance and the teachers are very passionate about these programs. There are a lot of good after school clubs and activities and the no-phone policy was the main reason we moved close to this school rather than the Saratoga or Los Gatos middle schools. The population is nicely diverse in racial and economic makeup. It isn’t the best place for smarter kids who can get bored at the typical pace in the classroom, but that’s probably more of a universal public school experience. All in all, I’d recommend this school. There haven’t been any bullying, fights or social issues as far as I can tell and despite not knowing anyone at the start of the year, my son’s been able to make friends.Parent Review2w ago26 Reviews - Westmont High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two teenagers attending this school, and while there are several positives worth highlighting, there are also some ongoing concerns.Westmont stands out as one of only two remaining high schools in Santa Clara County with a strong agriculture program, including a legitimate 3.5-acre farm. The school also offers an impressive machine shop and woodshop program, along with knowledgeable and dedicated teachers in the arts, particularly in art and photography/film. Additionally, the sports facilities are well-maintained and in great condition. However, there are notable issues with administration and consistency among teachers. The administrative team appears to have limited control over classroom expectations, which are often not enforced. As a result, some teachers operate independently without much accountability. The use of Canvas is another area of concern. Despite being located in the heart of Silicon Valley, many teachers seem reluctant to use the district’s platform effectively. Some even state at back-to-school events that they dislike using it, which is reflected in delayed grade updates and slow communication. In some cases, teachers have also indicated they do not respond to parental inquiries. Additionally, non-subject-related content is sometimes promoted in classrooms, which can be distracting.Although the sports facilities are in great shape, the athletic director leaves a lot to be desired. He is rarely present at sporting events, including larger tournaments and meets, and appears to provide little to no oversight of coaching staff. Communication is also a concern, as he is largely unresponsive to player and parent inquiries. This lack of leadership creates an environment that feels vulnerable to inconsistency and potential impropriety. I strongly encourage parents to be proactive—depending on the sport, students may not receive the motivation and guidance needed to succeed in high school athletics, and may be underprepared for collegiate-level competition.Overall, while the school offers some excellent programs and resources, there are clear areas that need improvement, particularly in administrative oversight, communication, and consistency in both academics and athletics.Parent Review1mo ago20 Reviews - Check out schools near Dell Ave.

"Since covid, not many events are held. Everyone usually keeps to themselves, busy with work, I assume. The farmers market in Campbell is a cute event put on every Sunday, but since they moved it from downtown Campbell to the community center, it’s not as nice. "

"It feels extremely safe at all times. The community center is perfect for families. Plus downtown Campbell is within walking distance through a park which is nice. If I could afford it, I would totally start a family here. "

"Great middle school and huge park just down the street, library nearby, police and fire departments nearby, downtown Campbell is the go to place in the San Jose area right now, it’s better than Los Gatos which is famous for being tops with nightly entertainment. The list goes on and on. Campbell is centrally located and access to HWY 17, 280, 85 are minutes away. It’s an incredible place...find a way to live here if you can!"

"Traffic is generally way TOO FAST! There is not enough Campbell PD visibility to control the cars racing down many of the narrow residential streets. It always surprises me there are not a lot of car/pedestrian incidents around here. Example: West Rincon is like a drag strip, everyone thinks it’s a short cut to avoid the Campbell Ave./Hamilton intersection. I have absolutely no doubt quite a few exceed 50...60...+++mph. Delivery trucks in particular are scary as they have no way to stop in time to avoid people and cars pulling out. Many, many elderly people and children cross this street due to the middle school and assisted living facilities on/near this freeway. I’ve always wanted to get a speed gun to record the ridiculous rates most cars fly down this street! Not really sure I want to know though, as I wrote this a number of cars raced by...it never ends!"

"Small-town feel, but with great food, interesting shops, regular events like the farmers’s market. Everything within reach. Great VTA connection points and terminal. What’s not to like about Campbell? I do wish we could have an actual grocery store on Campbell Ave. It could be one of those cute, hyper-organic high-priced grocers, so long as it sells milk, eggs, and fresh veggies."

"Well established safe family neighborhood in old Campbell. Leisurely 5 minute walk to "historic downtown Campbell" with its many restaurants, cafes, specialty shops, library, etc. Campbell Plaza shopping center within walking distance with Safeway superstore and Cinelux Theaters. Campbell Middle School and well-maintained, safe, well-patrolled, John D Morgan Park at end of block with baseball diamonds, Campbell Little League park, soccer fields, large picnic grounds with barbeques and children's playgrounds and walking paths."

"I moved into downtown in 1999. Everyone who lives here loves it. I have heard no one who actually lived in downtown say they did not love it. It is the best place to live. Very friendly, great neighbors, lots to do for everyone from kids to single grown ups. It is also an exceptionately pretty and clean place to live."
