4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers at this school are there for the students. They reach out to the parents even though many times the parents want little or no involvement in their child's education. If a student is not progressing; then, 9 times out of 10 it is the student's lack of initiative, refusal to do homework or parents that just don't have time to provide proper guidance to their child's development.Other Review8y ago2 Reviews - Carver Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWonderful teachers but awful administration staff. The principal is never on campus on important events and when she is there she seems uninterested in engaging in the event. The Hispanic community is not even addressed at times. There was recently a family night event hosted at Carver where most of the parents attending were Hispanic, yet the speech given was not translated to Spanish to accommodate to the needs of the non-English speaking parents. This event was also very unorganized as there was not enough seating provided for the families. Parents are sometimes not even notified of events. In addition, there are no incentives offered to students such as student of the week. Overall the school is very poorly managed.Parent Review11y ago4 Reviews - Lee High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSince I moved to lee, I haven't learned that much. I mean I have, but they don't teach it as great as sterling. Also discipline, mostly everybody has been disrespectful to me and other peers. I expected more from this school!Student Review9y ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near DANIEL ST.

"Nearby park walking trail leads to larger park with dog parks for larger and smaller dogs. Walk is less than 1/4 mile to walking trail from the surrounding neighborhoods "

"There are sidewalks throughout most of the neighborhood. Also JC Holloway park is one street away. The walking trail connects to a larger park with trails and a dog park. The fenced dog park is separated in two sides for larger and smaller breeds to play safely."

"For the most part the area is a decent place to walk your dogs. The only problem I see is that about 50% of the dog owners do not pick up poop from their dogs. there is a great alternative about 3 mi away is a dog park that is well groomed has an area for both large dogs and small dogs. I rather take my dogs there on the weekend so they have plenty of area to play and run."

"There are no sidewalks in my neighborhood but a few people walk their dogs. Most dogs are outside dogs, so you don’t see those dogs walked much. There is also one dog park in Baytown."

"People mostly keep to themselves around my current area. It is a predominantly hispanic community now and a lot of people are selling. We are moving as well as the crime and traffic has skyrocketed the last year. It takes almost 30 mins to simply get across town now when it used to only take about 10. "

"There’s a lot of great parks in the area with plenty to do for kids. This town is big enough to always meet new friends but not too big where everything is over crowded and you can still see a familiar face every now and then. "
