"Long but safe. Less traffic than usual and other places. Mainly school buses and farm vehicles. Traffic usually clears up after 8:30 am every morning "

"There is no public transportation. A lot of people walk or ride bikes or get a ride from a friend. About 12 miles to Lubbock with its public transportation."

"most people in Slaton are retired or work in Lubbock only 15 minutes from Slaton. commite is easy. slaton has good schools and people are friendly and helpful."
