3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son's school has been good, compared to Arlington. We moved to get away from the city and Reisterstown has family. For the first time, my son has a reasonably sized class, good classmates and a great teacher. It's been a blessing. I am worried about the high school...Parent Review1y ago15 Reviews - Franklin High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI know when reviewing your asked to rate 1 out of 5 but I wouldn’t even give it a rating of 1.. my son has attended this school since kindergarten, he’s now in second grade. The first year was ok with no problems 1st grade was very very different and now 2cd grade is horrible. My son is dealing with bullying almost every day since the first grade. I feel like the support that they claim to give is just to save their jobs or just to show on record that they tried to do something. The things that they are doing has not been effective for my son. I know that we can’t blame everything on the schools/ staff itself BUT the children that are there are horrible and the staff gets irritated when they see a parent at the school everyday . My son is experiencing the bullying in the classroom, hallways bathroom and school bus.. remind you guys he’s in second grade, he’s being bullied by 5th graders. He was beat up on the school bus by a 5th grader. The footage was gotten from the bus company and still this child is able to ride on the bus..and not to mention that when I called the police they couldn’t or wouldn’t help because they are minors, so I had to stop my son from riding. It’s awful! I know that everyone’s experience is different but if you’re thinking of sending your child think twice. Now I’m going through the process of getting a special permission transfer and there sending me through it even with that.. I’m calling schools and they’re saying that the special permission deadline has already passed. Soooo what’s the point of it being called a SPECIAL PERMISSION TRANSFER.. I’m confused.. I just don’t know what to do.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near Cotswold Ct.

"The commute to the city is brutal, but there are back ways that make it bearable. Traffic in the early morning is fine but the clock strikes 7:30am and the lanes are full. "

"Pretty quiet area besides street noise from cars as I live on a somewhat busy road. Not alot of near by parks as in walking distance for kiddos but there are local parks to venture too. Lots of great restaurants . I love TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods and Burlington so I’m happy with the area lol as they have all 4! "

"It’s a great family environment here. Neighborhoods are clean and people are friendly for the most part. School system is not the greatest but definitely not the worst as long as you show the faculty that you are involved. "

"There is public transportation however getting to the public transportation is a track especially if you’re without transportation. There is a bus but it’s about 2 miles away. My answer is poor public transportation."

"They would like the neighborhoods. It is a clean town and everyone is very conscious of their pets. There are also neighboring dog parks near by which allow the dogs to exert energy by running and hopefully tiring out. It is a pet friendly town. "

"I’ve lived here for several years Love the area. So happy they’re finally building the area back up. The only thing i would recommend is that they put more upscale restaurants in the area. That would make it the most ideal place to live. "

"I do not know what is the policy for pet owners are in this community because I’m not a home owner, I rent this property and do not pay ownership fees and I do not participate with the functionality of the other members of this communities home owners association so it’s not fair that I make a comment for or against this domain!"
