Description

This outdoor paradise with an absolutely beautiful custom-built home is located off North 2653rd Road near Marseilles. The 12,500 sq ft custom-designed house was built with " Colorado Rustic " brick and stone and has an attached 4,000 sq ft climate-controlled garage with a complete kitchen. The built-in pool, spa and gym are located off of the kitchen. The pool room has retractable ceiling panels, 9 ft sliding doors and impeccable construction. The 25 x 25 ft kitchen has several custom features, including beautiful granite countertops, two islands, Viking stainless steel appliances, a bar area and much more. Each of the 9 bathrooms is unique, has attractive custom designs, and is very well decorated. There are 8 bedrooms, with the master bedroom being 28 x 12 ft with a walkout stone tiled balcony that offers stunning views of the backyard and the Illinois River bottom. The basement includes a family room with walkout doors and patio, a state-of-the-art, soundproof theater, and a massage room with an adjacent steam shower. This house has a state-of-the-art sound system inside and out. There are simply way too many details to describe this house in one paragraph! This is one of the most impressive and well-built homes I have ever seen! Now let's talk about the land that is a true outdoor paradise! In the front of the house is a beautiful pond stocked with largemouth bass, walleye and crappie. There is rock landscaping, lighting, an aeration system and two waterfalls. The second pond is located in the bottom ground and is full of giant bass and catfish! There is a great trail system throughout the entire property, a large part of it being a well-maintained gravel road. There are 120 acres +/- tillable with73 +/-acres of it enrolled in CRP. Several strategically located food plots are designed to attract deer all year long. A duck slough that can be flooded providing excellent waterfowl hunting. A good portion of the ground is bordered by DNR and State ground that is not hunted. The property has been well-managed and has an impressive harvest history of big bucks, ducks and turkeys. Over a half mile of beautiful IL River frontage could be used for developmental or commercial/industrial use. "One of us is 5 minutes away, the other works from home. Our home is 5-10 minutes from many restaurants and stores. "
  • Dread27
"Need a vehicle to access most areas of Ottawa. Walking is an option, due to many sidewalks. Ottawa is limited because of only one bridge crossing the Illinois River. The Northeast side of town (where the High School located) is also limited because of only 2 ways in and out. Currently it has only 1 way due to construction. "
  • Meredith Martin Olsen
"Small local business and lots of churches to pick from based on your religious beliefs. Neighborhood is quite "
  • Jessica W.

  • Lisa C.
"we have neighborhood bbqs, the town has family friendly events most weekends, lots of parks, family restaurants"
  • Jess M.
"Sometimes there’s a festival or an event that blocks off roads and sometimes you don’t know when they’re happening so it’s a major inconvenience when you try to get to work and there’s a lot of traffic and no one moving. "
  • Kendra S. M.
"Close knit community. Lots of festivals throughout the year. Wonderful local restaurants. Friendly city! "
  • Jess M.
"There’s a lot of other dogs so if your dog doesn’t like other dogs just be careful. Everyone picks up after there animals pretty well and most of the dogs are nice. A lot of them end up being aggressive with your dog but other than that it’s a lovely place for your dog. "
  • Charity P.
"Fireworks show is the best in state of Illinois for the Fourth of July everyone pitches in for the show to be better each year "

  • Felix A. L. O.
"Location cannot be beat. Lovely area filled with unique styles of homes. Not a cookie-cutter development. Quiet, peaceful and friendly. Great mix of people of all ages. Well maintained homes make the North side a sought after location. Believe it or not, there are people who actually did not know this area of Ottawa exists. Close enough to the downtown area if you choose to take a nice walk to the riverfront. Good caring neighbors. Cannot emphasize enough how nice and tranquil it is in this area. Great School District, close to all churches and Ottawa Regional Hospital and Medical Center. Definately a lovely place to live. "
