E. S. and the people who run it. Most of the teachers are great and do their best given what they have to work with. Watchout for the principal and school board they will always side with their home town people.Parent Review10y ago4 Reviews - Chilhowee Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagestudent---this school is wonderful it may not be the best looking or smartest but what school is does any school honestly make the cut for perfect.... uh no their is always some one that is going to hate it but the teachers take their time with the students and have their best interest at heart especially Mrs.Owmby and i would know because i had her for my 7th grade year and she is not a bully she is trying to get these kids to actually participate and learn in her class room because honestly most of the kids their i dont know what their parents are teaching them......that its ok to cuss, fight, or fail because you dont want to do the work that the class requires so maybe its not the staff maybe it the children.Other Review11y ago6 Reviews - Polk County High School

"Too many houses in such small area keep your kids out of the road. Door to door treating is nice because most all of the neighbors are friendly and it is not known of for any predators"

"Too many rental properties that either do not allow pets or you can only have a small pet. Very few options in that regard. There are no local pet parks that I am aware of either."

"They would like it a lot. It’s a lot of people walking their dogs all the time. What they would not like about it is if there animal go poo and someone else’s lawn people would say something about it. If it was not picked up the people get upset and I don’t blame them. I would too because I have children playing in the yard and I would not want to step in into some pool, especially when I do not own a dog"

"I have lived here for 3 years. This area is safe and the neighbors look out for each other. The only drawback is the speed of non residents as they use a cut thru. "

"Very typical, friendly Southern city. Great schools, churches, colleges and a university. Many old and new subdivisions due to growth. Easy drive to Atlanta, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville, etc as we are very centrally located. Just be kind to everyone if you move here and it will be reciprocated. "

"If you are looking for a place where you can focus on being a good family, this place is great! There are many ways to get involved in activities that bond you as a unit. If you want a strong community, it’s not the best place for that. People are more focused on schedules and agendas than relationship and neighboring. "
