7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageShould NOT be allowed to administer the ACT test. Fire alarm went off on 9/6/2025 and proctor did not know how to turn off alarm and they did not reset the time lost during the alarm or having to exit building. Unprofessional and inappropriate. We expect a refund from the school for the aaCT fee and an apology.Other Review8mo ago16 Reviews - Bernice J Causey Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIm currently in 7th grade, the teachers don't care about anyone, expect their fav. They teach really weak, we can do the problem for two weeks. The busses are full off fights, eating, cussing, everything you say. I mean, I am a part of cussing and everything. But still the school don't care. The P.E, one person messed up? Whole class is staying inside because someone talked. You can talk whole class on. But still the teacher don't care, bullied? don't care. So please, try to educate students, and make them feel safe. Not to take their phones.Student Review1y ago17 Reviews - Taylor-White Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son had a terrible experience at this school. It was so bad in fact that we pulled him out to home school after one year. We found this school cared more about fundraising than their students. Their method to education is outdated. In kindergarten I watched my son's teacher scream in his face that he wasn't trying hard enough-to the point that he started crying. My son would wiggle in line because he was 5 years old and that is age appropriate, they would discipline him by forcing him to sit out of P.E! There was no guarantee that they would have recess and it was definitely not a priority. We liked some of the staff but overall we were completely unimpressed with the level of education. My son's teacher could care less about the progress he made or if he even mastered the work. My son hated going to school and would beg to not go. When my son attended there was very little parent involvement or opportunities to join the kids in the classroom or school. I'm so thankful we pulled him out to home school, moved out of state and now have him in an excellent school. It's the complete opposite of Taylor-White. The students are seen as individuals, specific issues are promptly addressed, physical exercise is a huge focus and if kids have learning differences the teachers will modify things to accommodate them with or without an IEP.Parent Review7y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near Coden.

"there is a dog park nearby but there are not a whole lot of trails for walking with your dog other than one park, medal of honor park, which also is where the dog park is located. "

"What makes my neighborhood unique is the feeling of community paired with personal space. It’s a place filled with families and long-term residents, where everyone looks out for each other, yet you still enjoy your own privacy. It’s truly a safe, welcoming environment that feels like home"

"Lots of dogs and dog lovers! Sidewalks can be a bit uneven though, so there are a lot of trip hazards for dog parents."

"Pet friendly and safe for pets. Other neighbors do not allow pets to roam. Everyone is very friendly to other peoples pets when out walking the neighborhood and there is a nearby dog park with big dog/little dog open play areas and doggie drink fountains."

"Great area of Mobile to be in. Very quiet neighborhood with quick access to i10, Lowes, Walmart, and Tillmans Corner shopping. All the neighbors have been very welcoming to our family after moving here from the Midwest. The golf course has been purchased by Mobile County and should be opening within the next few months to a year. "

"I'm not sure who in their right mind would agree to this "deal". Does anyone do math anymore? It would be more like 8 years at $1,072/ month or around $200-something/month for the 30 years. Does this even include homeowner's insurance? "
