My daughter started at CES mid-year in Kindergarten and has been there now for a year. We've been very impressed with the school and staff, and she's very happy there. They're also very willing to work with her, as she has ADHD, and communicate closely with me to help her thrive.

"School system pretty good. Very safe area, and all 3 schools very close by. Very relaxed, quite, and comfortable area. Would recommend this area to anyone wanting small quite place to call home!!"

"Great small town community. Friendly people, plenty of parks and outdoor activity (beaches, parks, docs, etc.). A few cute shops in town as well as surrounding towns. A couple nice bars with more summer activity than winter, but Wilmington is close and has a great night life and excellent shopping. Almost no traffic, great access to all the bases in the area. Neighborhoods have a fun community feeling. There are some really great local churches as well. "

"Far enough from base(s) to enjoy quiet living, close enough to commute to either MCAS or Camp Lejeune. Easy drive down Hwy 17 for a nice dinner in Wilmington."

"I was stationed at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune and my daughter's best friend lived in this neighborhood. All occupants in neighborhood were very friendly. Area is very clean and has nice amenities. :) We got stationed in San Antonio, but I would love to buy a home and retire in this neighborhood!"

"Quiet coastal community just off Topsail Island and the intercoastal. Located between Wilmington and Jacksonville. Limited local shopping, but if you like the beach, boating and fishing, this is a great location."

"We own a home in this area. Great neighbors and a fantastic place to live. Fishing, boating, swimming. How many can say the ocean is right around the corner. Watch the helicopters practice landing and the Marine boats practice on the sound along with the Coast Gaurd boats. And all this is going on at the same time you are fishing. "
