This school is an absolute nightmare. I couldn’t fathom a more crippling environment for a child to attend school in. As a parent, I am appalled by administration, the amount of bullying that occurs and the lack of teacher communication and presence. It is so upsetting to have to send your child to this school and I will be so relieved to no longer have to.

Amazing school with exceptional and caring teachers and staff!

I absolutely loved this school. My niece, nephews & son all attended Heide Trash HS. I can honestly say they really cared about the success of the students. My son was not an easy student (well behaved young man but he just hated school) but they never stopped helping and supporting him . He moved out of town , eventually graduated and has moved back to NC. When we arrived back in NC (Our Home State) the first thing he wanted to do was go visit his old school and say hello to the teachers and staff that had been so supportive of him. It seemed to me they focused more on education and less on politics, social issues and drama . Any school that can pull that off in our current climate definitely earns an A+ in my book. Thank you to all of the staff and educators at this school for helping Zachary succeed and helping me survive his last years in public school lol Thanks for focusing on education. Best of Luck in 2022/2023

Pender Early College is the best school in Pender County. In it's first graduating class alone, students have all been accepted to competitive universities including Harvard University, and received pretigious scholarships such as the Morehead-Cain scholarship at UNC-Chapel Hill. This can't be said for other schools in Pender County.
