The Great Smokey Mountain Railroad runs out of town and there's plenty of First Class Rainbow Trout Fishing available on the Tuckaseegee River. This is a Great place to Retire!"

    "This is a Mountain Vacation Town. Everyone here is nice and people stop their cars at the many crosswalks. Most Residents use the local Post Office Box for mail. Thousands come here for vacation and to ride the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. This is also the Fly Fishing Capital of the East. Retirement is a Vacation every day! "

Nearby is Cherokee with Harrah's casino, and many golf courses in the area. Asheville is 1 hr. east. The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad is nearby for family fun. The schools are excellent and there's a hospital in town, two miles away. "
