First off, I would never allow my child to be under the supervision of the current elementary principle if there was any other option. We were called into a meeting to discuss disciplining my child only to find out the "discipline" had already taken place. The incident involved my kid standing up to a bully. The bully didn't get punished. Which leads to .......There is a terrible bullying problem in this school. I've had 2 that have graduated from here and one more that is going. We would pull this one out if we could. The bulling is awful and it is school wide. The administration is in complete denial about the situation. I sometimes feel like they condone it on some level.Prior to everyone securing their doors this elementary locked up the school and refuses to allow parents to monitor classrooms or make surprise visits. It leaves us wondering what goes on in the elementary school that parents aren't supposed to see?I know of more than one incident where a parent was told that "The school knows more about what's best for your child than you do". I find this attitude alarming.
