NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’ve had 3 kids go through this school. The 3rd child entered his 1st Grade to a new principal who left a bad taste in my mouth with her rude comments. The social worker threatened child services over some petty things she also investigated my tax information. The teacher came to my home asking me to sign papers then found out it was an excuse to see where I live to then have all 3 women tell me I dont live in the district and have my son kicked out of school. Their father lives In the district he put them at the school and I was Targeted by these women for what felt like the fact that I am a minority. Over all the handling of the whole situation by the staff at that school, I would never enroll another one of my children there.Parent Review2y ago13 Reviews - R Max Abbott Middle

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a current 8th grader at this school. Parents if you are seeing this i am not discouraging you from sending your child here, this is just my personal experience. In my 2 years at Max Abbott middle school, i have seen it all. Fights (there was one near me today actually), disrespectful students, teachers who didn’t teach, the whole nine. This year however, has brought things back that i thought i would only see in elementary school and mixed it with a shaky dress code that favors girls wearing really revealing clothing. The kids in my class are (and this is meant with no disrespect to them, i love and appreciate them, they accepted me when i thought no one would) a roller coaster to deal with. Childish humor, won’t stop talking, just not fun to be around at times. The teachers, in my very humble opinion, do way too much yelling, to the point where i believe they do it just to hear themselves yell. I mean if you have to yell at kids 25 times to stop talking and to get on task, chances are the kids don’t care and you should probably stop. I personally believe the schools administrators are great, the severity of their punishments are always fair and they do a good job at keeping the kids in check when teachers can’t. Overall, i think the school could be way better, but the bright spots are really bright. Tumultuous experience, but like i said, i’m not discouraging anyone looking to send their child here. Just be cautious.Student Review3mo ago15 Reviews - Terry Sanford High

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMajority of the admin are rude and sassy and there's so many teachers that don't even like working there. The school is infested with mice and roaches and in need of renovations. Not a good choice.Student Review1mo ago17 Reviews - Vanstory Hills Elementary

"Fayetteville, so far is good. They just need more sidewalks in their neighborhoods and they need to space out the houses a little bit more. They’re becoming too cluttered and crowded."

"Access to public transportation is adequate. Routes run on time on the hour. Routes are well connected and touch on all the points of interest in Fayetteville. It’s a smallish to medium size town so it’s not much to get from one end to the other. "

"I like the area that I’m in right now. The only problem that I have is visitors come over here and visit people and they do a lot of smoking weed and marijuana behind the mailboxes and it’s very strong and you can smell it when you come out your front door."
