9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you're a parent looking for a smaller school with educators who give 150% + each day and develop individual relationships with each student, then you have to check out this school. I've felt that the experience has been tailored to my child's strengths, and challenges have been addressed in only the most positive of ways. The music, drama, Spanish programs are amazing. The drama itself helps students learn so much. The music too. The fact that such a small school has an incredible and dedicated teacher to focus on these things - amazing! Too many positives to list in this small space!Parent Review12y ago11 Reviews - Tomales Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTomales elementary is exceptional. As the foster parents of twin girls we were received with open arms and hearts. The staff is dedicated and fully understanding of the challenges that a rural environment presents for children and parents. The K teacher Ms. Tambussi is beyond phenomenal in her devotion and attention to each child in her classroom. We were very happy to have been able to send the girls to Tomales.Parent Review9y ago1 Reviews - Tomales High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWonderful local school with the best staff I have ever met. Spanish language offered starting in Kindergarten. Music offered 2-8. Small class sizes and wonderful reading intervention teachers make this a great place to learn. The school takes good advantage of being so near the Point Reyes National Seashore and does lots of project-based learning. The school also has a school garden that is used (eaten) by the students and families. I would give 5 stars if this school wasn't at the mercy of a pretty crazy school board.Parent Review11y ago6 Reviews - Inverness Elementary School

"I work from home. But I drive my son to school and some times it takes 15 minutes and sometimes it takes 25 minutes, it can get congested downtown. There is also a small, 2 car train and a free bus that is available. "

"People sometimes let their dogs roam without a leash on and and this can be dangerous since most times the dogs are being territorial when you run into them. "

"I don’t commute. I work from home. So to meet the word requirement. I will say that my commute time is very short. Just enough for me to walk down the hall to my office."

"I moved from San Francisco. It’s great not having to worry if you locked the front door and there is a great movie theatre, many dog parks and lots of yoga studios. Check out Dillon beach!"

"It’s miserable. The traffic around town has tripled in the last few years. I don’t know how they think all the people in the houses they are building are going to get around but we can’t have any more cars on our roads; they just weren’t designed for this many people"

"It’s a bit pricey. Also, if you a looking to rent, and have a large dog over 25 lbs., it is doubly hard to fine anything other than an apartment. And open space is a premium in taking care of the dogs needs."
