5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 5 children who have all gone to Lago Vista schools. The best of all 4 schools is Lago Elementary. The staff and administration are some of the greatest in the state, ( we have lived all over the state.) All of my children, with completely different learning needs, excelled here. Every teacher that my 5 children had were their “ favorite teacher ever” which makes a mom very happy to hear. The teachers work so hard to connect with each child, from greeting them by name at the door every single morning, to sending emails to us just to tell me something awesome my kiddo has done. When I think of the energy at LVES I think of one word, love. My babies were loved fiercely at lves. That is more than I could ever hope for in an elementary school.Parent Review2y ago6 Reviews - Lago Vista High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have enjoyed the high school and many opportunities for kids to get involved. My child has been able to be a part of multiple sports, clubs and community events. They have personal relationships with teachers who care about their character and development. They would not have this many opportunities at a larger school! We love the new principal who has a huge heart for kids and wants to create a positive learning environment. No agendas are being pushed in the classroom. Overall, it has been a great experience for my child.Parent Review5mo ago14 Reviews - Lago Vista Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved from out of state to Lago Vista in May of 2020. Two months into COVID. We were curious about how the new school year would be handled for our new 7th grader but we had zero to worry about! LVISD quickly embraced online schooling, seamlessly integrating an iPad program, and beginning the school year with a bang. Sure, she felt a little lonely and isolated, because she had no friends here yet. But as soon as school could be back in session in person, she was and the transition to that was also flawless. The teachers and principal at the school are just amazing. They transitioned her 504 program very quickly and got her on board with the help she needed to thrive. We live in a beautiful place, with beautiful people, and it shows.Parent Review2y ago8 Reviews - Lago Vista Intermediate School

"A close to key conveniences- grocery, pharmacy , clothes shopping , library. etc. Good walking but no dry cleaner, bank etc. Quality Public transportation is lacking . This is not a real traditional large city . It is a sunbelt city grafted in to an older smaller community ."

"This neighborhood is not near public transportation. During peak hours, 7:30am-9am and 3:45-6:30 it can take 45-50 minutes to get downtown. It’s just 20 minutes when traffic is flowing. "

"Super close to the freeway and honestly tucked away so hardly any traffic ever and I love it and would definitely recommend the area. The only downside is is sometimes the homeless population gets a little out of control and can be quite aggressive. They also dumpster dive very frequently, but for the most part, they are really nice and respectful."

"Food truck really close walkable distance to anything and everything. Friendly neighborhood. I’ve met half the people on my block. A lot of people walk their dogs. It’s a family friendly neighborhood. I see the neighbors walking with their children and their families are comfortable visiting them here in this neighborhood. I feel safe in this neighborhood. It’s a quiet neighborhood. There’s the capital Metro rail and it’s not loud. It’s Neighbourhood friendly. I recently had a tree farm in my yard and someone visiting a neighbor on my block, called the police department for me and notified me right away during the storm."
