2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers do the best with what they have. I have 3 children who attend this school. Only 2 have had a good experience. My middle child who is in 4th grade I can't say that has been the same. The teachers for this grade are failing the students and something needs to change, when all students are failing or have low grades it is not the children but the educator. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo I sincerely wanted the school to see this feedback because I think it's ridiculous, absurd, that you can't use backpacks and they only allow one folder, and days later they forbade the use of the folder, and the folder costs 30 dollars, meaning a waste of money. And you know why? Because there are delinquent students who steal computers from the school and everyone gets the blame. I think yes, they should allow backpacks to school, but the children have to stop being delinquents and the teachers have to pay more attention. The academic environment lacked real engagement, with many teachers showing little interest in their students' learning. Assignments were often submitted without ever being reviewed, yet students frequently received perfect scores regardless of the effort or quality. Most instruction consisted of reading directly off PowerPoint slides followed by an online quiz, with minimal interaction or meaningful teaching.Beyond the classroom, the school's leadership was just as disorganized. The principals, deans, coaches, and athletic directors often seemed to be operating in opposition to one another—frequently butting heads and sending mixed messages to students. This lack of unity created confusion and inconsistency across the school. There was also a noticeable culture of favoritism, with certain students being given clear preference, especially in athletics and extracurriculars, while others were overlooked or unsupported.Overall, there was very little sense of community or care at Davenport High School. Students who needed help often didn’t receive it, and the environment felt more fragmented than collaborative. "I've lived here 5 years and it is very well maintained. the HOA mowes grass and takes out garbage. no parking in the grass. "

"You won't have to needlessly pick up your animals poop... no one does so it's all good! Breed restrictions are more of a running joke. You can even own 10, no one cares either way."

"Don’t be outside after dark. Keep an eye out for people that don’t belong in your neighborhood. Intersection or 547 and Ronald Reagan needs a turn lane. The mosquitoes are very bad in loughman."

"To much traffic!! No respect from the people that are moving into the neighborhood. Everyone is in to big of a hurry. The red light didn’t help. The toll road opening didn’t help residents. It only helps the emergency personnel. Can’t wait to move out of this area!! "

"Very scenic and tranquil settings. Quiet walk and other dog owners walking their pets are friendly and drama free. Lots of geckos running around and the cranes will sometimes walk right up to you. "

"Nice community just needs more tlc and a grocery store or 2. A couple of gas stations and a nice mom and pop store/restaurant. More AFFORDABLE housing would help also as these vacation rentals and their $1300-$1700 a month rent is getting crazy. "

"Great area to visit, plenty of choices to choose for food, we have had family come visit and we always look from Champions Gate and go towards Lakeland. We try to avoid I-4 to Orlando due to high traffic volume. We hope to see the expansion of Lake Wilson soon since we have the new WaWa and shopping center being built in the area. But overall, it is a good area to visit, live, or stop in and see. We can hardly wait to see what things come to the area over the next few years."

"I’ve lived here for one year, and have driven around other neighborhoods during garage sales, or during Christmas to view lights. It is an area that is great to live, but it also is very close to attractions that bring in the tourist. So the typical busy season for Disney means shopping my at your local Publix will take longer or something you are looking for may be out that day/week. But the openness of the neighbors and the ability to go outside my house at night without worry of anything going wrong is nice. I also appreciate that we have neighbors that will help with yard work or recommendations for places to check out."
