4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kid can't even spell basic words he learned while in homeschooling with me in kindergarten and he is now going into the 3rd grade. They said he was acing every test but he can't even spell the word ball or want or when. He can barely do basic math and has forgotten all the phonics he learned in kindergarten in just 2 years. The "school" is glorified daycare at best. He is so far behind we are having to spend his summer doing the first grade school work for the homeschooling program hoping to catch him up enough so that he can do the third grade work. Truthfully we may have to hold him back a year because this public school "education" is just that bad and that far behind compared to a homeschooling program.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Marion Co High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved here from North Georgia, and I have to say that the school sysyems here are much more advanced, and strive harder to make sure that the students are college ready. It is a small school, but theTeachers and Parents are much more involved. I love that my son knows all the Teachers and they know him wheather he is in thier class or not. The Students are friendly and helpful, and welcomed him on day one. he plays sports, and the coaches are very involved in keeping the athletes GPA's from falling off, and expect excellence in all areas, as sportsmanship, acedemics, community service, and behavior. We only wish he'd been in this school system his whole life. he loves it, as do we. If you are moving to this area, I highly recommend MCHS to anyone searching for a school where thier child can grow academically, this should be your only choice. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son goes to this school he's in the 4th grade and this entire year has been nothing but problems. He's been suspended twice both times other kids were involved right along with him but he was singled out and on neither of the occasions did a teacher or facility member witness the event.its always some kid told them and they took them for their word. And punished my son without asking his side of things and where I'm from your innocent until there is proof of you doing what your accused of. But in my opinion this school has its picks and it's who has the most money. The teachers are very judgemental and lack any kind of ability to communicate with parents.Parent Review4w ago6 Reviews - South Pittsburg Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is absolutely disgusting. The staff are awful as well as they talk badly about their STUDENTS as if they were still in high school. There are constantly fights at the sky, to the point where subs have to be warned to even sub for a grade. The children there are disrespectful and unmannered, the staff and faculty protecting other students from punishment due to their popularity.Teachers there ignore bullying and harassment, instead punishing other children for someone else's problems. If i could give 0 stars, I would. It's truly disgusting.Other Review2y ago5 Reviews - Whitwell Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy school is great! The front office needs a way to be able to open the locked front door. We need to keep unwelcome "visitors" out. But other than that, it's super!Teacher Review12y ago4 Reviews - Jasper Middle School

"I live close to downtown. I’ve lived in this area for over 50 years and it’s getting worse. Even though there are upgrades with apartments it’s still not safe"
