6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt has been three years and I am going to finally write my review. Back when my son was in sixth grade special education 2022-2023 it started off ok. As the year went by the vice principal at the time as well as the teacher/aids seem to already not care about how my child learned or what he did. Having 29 students with only 2 aids and one teacher I can see where it took a turn. The teachers aids had their favorites and unfortunately treated my kid like he was just an inconvenience. Yea my son wasn’t perfect and did have some aggression but that’s why you take the time with him not just throw him in the corner with his iPad. In the month of May with only a month and half left the vice principal and teacher/staff called it quits for my son. The fact that a NISD SCHOOL turned my child away when that district alone is meant to help children like my son. Not to give up or have him been forgotten. The vice principal would call leaving voicemails saying absurd things about my child and the aids would always give me and my son the cold shoulder when it was time for pick up or drop off. My son is a FRESHMAN now at IDEA!! IDEA!! How is it that a school like idea with its strict policies and curriculum that he has been there for 3 years now and a school like FOLKS MIDDLE SCHOOL NISD failed my son. It was not school the school is beautiful but it was the STAFF who failed my child and another child that I happen to run into at idea who also pulled out her daughter due the vice principal and staff.Parent Review8mo ago14 Reviews - Joey Tomlinson Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter was part of the first graduating class at this school, and our experience has been very positive. She was involved in cheer, National Honor Society, and track, and the staff consistently supported her growth both academically and athletically. I’ve personally met with counselors, coaches, and teachers, and they have always been helpful, responsive, and invested in student success. My son currently attends and is active in both football and track. The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and creates plenty of opportunities for students to get involved. There are also strong academic options, including advanced classes and college prep pathways. The campus feels safe, well-managed, and focused on student development. A new NISD baseball and softball complex was recently built right behind the school, which is a great addition for student athletes.Overall, I highly recommend this school for both academics and extracurricular involvement.Parent Review1mo ago1 Reviews - Check out schools near Bianca mill Way.

"We moved here specifically for the community, schools, and the perfect central locations to downtown and the airport. We enjoy the community events, the street parties, and the community organization. There are so many people walking their dogs daily, it’s just a feeling of a true community. "

"I have resided in San Antonio ZIP Code 78210 for two years and I can’t say unequivocally that the neighborhood is improving. I feel very safe in my neighborhood. The neighborhood is lacking grocery stores, restaurants, bars, or any kind of social evening nightlife really. The streets are relatively well kept in the sidewalks are as well. I feel very safe, but it’s nott necessarily a neighborhood where I would go out walking after 9 PM. Neighbors are friendly if you are proactive in speaking with them. It is about the least outgoing, bunch of neighbors I’ve ever had in terms of reaching out."

"We have a 4th of July neighborhood parade. People in the neighborhood bring out their chairs and sit on the lawn to watch their friends/neighbors parade down the street dressed for the occasion in red, white and blue. Dogs are included."

"High traffic. Low crime. Stable ownership. Is just now being gentrified. Thank God. Until that transition is complete, it will be a wasteland of shabby house with zero landscaping. "
