9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible school. Do not send your child here. I used to go here and the blatant targeting of students by teachers is ridiculous. You can literally shoot something in a trash can and miss, and the teacher will think you were throwing it at her and give you in school detention (this actually happened). The school itself is in terrible condition. Food festers within unoccupied lockers. Trash also fills the locker houses on the floor, no one bothers to clean it up. This school won't be rebuilt for another 10 years. So, don't send your child here until its been remodeled.Other Review9mo ago13 Reviews - Hidden Valley High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe rating for this school needs to be re-evaluated. This definitely does not include the statistics for the students who they remove and kick out because they don’t meet or live up to their “perfect standards”. Ironically, the majority of the students who struggle and end up being removed are not white. There is a high level of racism among the staff and students. Students who come from wealthier backgrounds are treated differently and are allowed to get away with more things. Drugs are a problem that gets swept under the rug. This school does anything it can to cover up what’s really happening here. There is a HUGE lack of awareness around mental health needs. There are resources to address the mental health needs of the students but the school administrators and school board won’t allow it and instead move to send students who are “less than” to alternative schools or place them on homebound. If you’re wealthy and perfect, great school for you. Just don’t expect to learn any quality characteristics and traits.Parent Review1y ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near Bent Mountain Rd.

"We need sidewalks in Roanoke county!! Cave spring for sure! Please give us somewhere to walk I have walked on the side of the road for years and had to walk in thorns I think it would help everyone and businesses could get more business with the ability for more people to access them. If people do not have cars sidewalks would be greatly appreciated."

"You see people walking their dogs all the time. Neighbors will occasionally greet them with treats. Some apartment communities will have Doggy Swim Days the last pool day of the season. We love that day,and so do the dogs! ❤"

"You see a lot of people walking their dogs. It’s a pretty safe area for your dog to be in. I’ve never noticed any maltreatment towards dogs here. All of the owners are typically friendly and open. Of course all of the dogs are great dogs. There is plenty of sidewalk space for dog walking as well as grass for the dogs to roam and play in. "

"Safe, but keep an eye out. Roanoke is going downhill in my personal opinion. However, if you have to live in Roanoke, Cave Spring is safest. "
