5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe just moved to Nacogdoches from California, and to be honest we were nervous to enroll our kids at Nacogdoches High School because we were coming from a suburban high school with a 9 rating, and Nac High is rated much lower. We have a senior, sophomore and a freshman, and we have been pleasantly surprised at the high level of instruction, amazing teachers, and the diversity at this school. The teachers and coaches are top notch, and our kids are making friends from all different socioeconomic backgrounds and walks of life. Our senior was just accepted to Texas A&M and our girls are college bound as well. We have no regrets and highly recommend this school for a well rounded educational experience!Parent Review4y ago2 Reviews - Mcmichael Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughters & I moved to Nacogdoches ISD a few weeks ago from Fort Worth. I have a 1st, 3rd, & 4th grader who all entered the district after graduating with 10 awards each as well as attendance in the STEM program. They enjoy learning and have an excellent history in school pertaining to academics, athleticism, and behavior. While my older daughters teachers sent home homework alongside some of the school supplies, my youngest daughters teacher neglected to do so. I assumed a simple note asking for a couple of pencils would suffice but I quickly learned Nancy Rodriquez’s poor attitude. After receiving my note, Nancy called me to say that she would send home “a set of 48 pencils” because the schools had received more than enough supplies. I thought that she was just being sarcastic until my daughter returned home with a $3 set of 48 pencils. I explained to Nancy that possibly she sent home another students supplies because I’d purchased a 48 count in the amount of $11. I was forced to send a receipt because to my surprise, Nancy doesn’t keep a record of what students bring. Some days, the daily agenda would have notes while most are left blank. My daughter begin to receive poor grades because I signed the agenda in the morning versus the afternoon and Nancy sent home a note saying “do not sign the day before”. Nancy would scribble out my signature and continually mark down my daughters grade. She marked her down for chewing her eraser as well in which I thought as a professional, she would assume nerves and attempt a conversation. My daughter comes home daily expressing how afraid of her teacher she is. She has also recently begin to startle us in the middle of the night from waking up, screaming, because she’s having nightmares of her teacher trying to physically harm her. Nancy made an announcement during class that I was responsible for my daughters grades, while she wept, and exclaimed that I called her a bad person. There is no reason for this educator to discuss these matters with kids. She then furthered her actions by group hugging the entire class excluding my child. Covid?Monkey Pox? We haven’t received not one of my daughters graded papers nor received correspondence and today she came home with her first failing grade in history after consistently receiving all As in prior districts where the work consist of more challenges aside from counting dots under ten. Who abuses children this way? It’s disgusting and the staff enable this behavior.Parent Review3y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near Beard St.

"My commute is great! I used to live in San Antonio and traffic was terrible! Not as courteous as it could be on the road. Lots of 18 wheelers. "

"We have lived in this neighborhood for 4 years. It is close to shopping, located on a cul-de-sac with very little traffic and the neighbors are very friendly. We visit with each other every time we get a chance, call to check on one another and watch each other’s houses for issues. This neighborhood is stuck in the 50’s in a GREAT WAY!"

"Had we waited three weeks, we would have purchased this home. The neighborhood is to die for. It is quiet and set back yet close to shopping and restaurants. There is only 15-17 homes in the neighborhood and only ond entrance making traffic non-existant. My personal opinion of this home is that it is the nicest home in the neighborhood. I wished we would have known this home was going to enter the market otherwise we would have waited!"
