6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI moved to Oakdale 7 years ago. I have 3 daughters and my two oldest were not so happy about the move, especially my oldest daughter. I took her out of school only 2 months into her freshman year and moved her to Oakdale. Needless to say she was not to happy. Within a couple of months my older daughters were thanking me for moveing them to Oakdale. It was the best decision I ever made. Oakdale has great academics. There teachers, principal and staff are there for you and are very careing. They listen and treat you like part of the family. If you have a child that plays sports then Oakdale is the place to be. Oakdale is very big on there sports, especially there football team. The whole town shows up on Friday nights, so you better get there early or you will have to sit on the visitors side and thats no joke. Oakdale as a community is fantastic. I have never seen a town come together like Oakdale does. There is alot of parent support that makes oakdale schools and this community great....I give Oakdale an A plus.Parent Review15y ago6 Reviews - Fair Oaks Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two children at Fair Oaks and I am very happy with our experience there. I toured a private school thinking maybe that would be better for my children but what actually happened was that after the tour I realized how great my kids have it at Fair Oaks. All the teachers and staff I have met have been so polite and I can tell they love what they do. I highly recommend this school.Parent Review3mo ago5 Reviews - Oakdale Junior High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was once a student here, heres my experience; this school is extremely uncaring about emotional health, many people bully me, the teachers are rude, and the leaders dont care about the bullying, i had to go to the councelor because a student almost made me kill myself, they only gave him a warning, and they also favor good students, they wond belive you if you are being bullied if you are bad. Overall this school is terrible, the whole district is terrible, it puts so much stress on me and others. im glad im not there anymore.Other Review1y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near Bascule Dr.

"Most importantly, there are good schools. This is a good place to live because of the education. Also, there’s plenty of outdoor recreation. The Stanislaus river runs through the town and there are nearby lakes not to mention the Sierra. "

"Any of the elementary schools are great. Do NOT base your decision on which school your child gets placed."

"My family moved to Oakdale in 1969, and built in this neighborhood in 1972. I attended high school here, I owned a business in town for 15 yrs, and I have been a Realtor since 1991. I have seen a lot of growth and changes here over the years, and I'm proud to say, Oakdale is still one of the most sought after areas in Stanislaus Co. A beautiful bedroom community, and aside from the traffic funneling through our little town, it is a wonderful place to live. I would welcome the opportunity to personally help anyone with a desire to relocate to our community, or learn more about Oakdale."

"I lived in this neighborhood for 12 years, it’s quiet and the neighbors are friendly. Knowing that there is a store couple blocks down the street makes it easier to grocery shop for the family "
