6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageprogram at this school. You are made to believe that it is a collaborative effort between the parents and administration, but that is only as long as you agree with the administration's decisions. They are more concerned with fitting a special education student into a preset "mold." When that student doesn't fit into the preset molds the district pushes them around from campus to campus rather than utilizing special education services to help the student succeed and takes no interest in working with students' private therapists or psychiatrist. Creekside also needs to be held accountable for how often they restrain students who have disorders where restraints only escalate the issue. Multiple times restraints resulted in bruising and caused psychological damage to a student. The school has also violated several TEA provisions and refuses to accept responsibility. One of which a student was suspended for an action the school could not prove wasn't related to their disability and refused to hold a manifestation determination meeting to prove the suspension was lawful under TEA special education provisions. Creekside sets students up to fail and takes no responsibility when confronted. LISD is failing special education students. Before moving your student here ask how many special education BIC students have been integrated back into mainstream classrooms and how many have been sent to other campuses. I would also highly encourage parents of special education students to know your rights because the school does not get to decide how to educate your child even though they will try. Hire a special education advocate to fight for your child's rights. LISD does not have a good reputation for special education services and I completely understand why. Districts and schools like this one is why special education students get left behind and have a higher dropout rate.Parent Review6y ago7 Reviews - Marshall Durham Middle School

"The only thing that makes sense to me right now is that the government has been doing this since before Covid started so it’s been very difficult for them and they don’t know how much money they’ve made and they have been paying the taxes for years "

"I am retired. When we go out, we try to avoid rush hours, so our commutes are typically not congested. We also have quick access to free ways, which is really good. However, the main free ways have toll charges. "
