I have been working here for 10 years and I will not leave. We have a great team that works hard for our students, and we are able to communicate with the administration about any issues. I like that we are a union because we can move fast on decisions.

Over the past three years, I have witnessed a significant decline in my child’s academic experience within this district during a critical stage of development. What began as a positive trajectory for a capable and engaged student gradually shifted due to repeated concerns with how key situations were handled by both staff and administration.In my experience, there has been a pattern of mismanagement in addressing student needs, along with a lack of accountability when concerns are raised. Communication with administration often felt dismissive, with responsibility frequently redirected back to families rather than collaboratively working toward solutions.I have also observed what appears to be widespread staff burnout, which seems to impact the overall environment and interactions with students. At times, expectations placed on children did not reflect their developmental stage, and the approach to discipline and support felt, in my opinion, inappropriate and concerning.Due to the cumulative impact of these experiences, I made the difficult decision to withdraw my other children from the Waterford Graded School District, including Fox River Middle School. Moving to Waterford for their schools was a huge mistake. I share this feedback so that other families can make informed decisions. I sincerely hope to see meaningful changes in leadership, support systems, and overall school culture moving forward.

I have two kids attending Evergreen, and we have been extremely pleased! All the teachers have been wonderful - dedicated, caring, and communicate regularly with parents. The principal goes into classrooms on a daily basis and makes an effort to get to know the students. I have also been impressed with how the school has dealt with the challenges of the pandemic, keeping students safe and learning.
