7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’ve had many great times here. There are clubs and activities I am able to participate in. The teachers a mostly supportive and care about their students. The good could be better though. I have never not felt safe at school here. We also have a very nice resource officer.Student Review2y ago4 Reviews - Bullock Creek Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's been a year since we switched to private school and frankly my wife and I are still apalled at some of the stories our daughter tells us after finishing first grade. A gym teacher should never tell a student that was in tears because they were just hit by another student and getting ganged up and picked on by a group of others that they need to toughen up and go run 5 laps while crying. There is so much developmentally wrong with that. We have had 0 problems from the teachers and students at our daughter's new school. No physical violence and no bullying. Our daughter enjoys going and the teachers are kind.Parent Review3y ago3 Reviews - Floyd School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAfter less than 2 years at this school, we pulled our child in favor of homeschooling. Kindergarten started off rough, but our childs teacher that year was able to work with and figure out methods to keep our child interested as they quickly became bored with the work which posed no academic challenges to keep them interested.First grade was terrible. We had numeorus bad experiences with a specific teacher who was causing anxiety and behavior issues with our child. We also had bullying issues which were not addressed until we brought it up at a parent teacher conference where the teacher admited she had noticed some issues... but had done nothing about it until we pushed for some action. As soon as we pulled our child from this school, those issues stopped. Very little help from school/ district administration who refused to change our child to a different class, I would not recommend this school or this district to anyone. There are other options, better options. We chose homeschooling for now, in order to get some consistencey and our child back on track after a disasterous couple of months in frist grade.Parent Review9y ago2 Reviews - Pine River Elementary School

"Lots of dog owners out on the sidewalks with their pets. There is a unimpressive dog park down by the Tridge where you can at least allow your dog to play with others while off leash. Wish that there were more dog friendly restaurants or events in Midland. "

"Best place to raise a family. So many family events and attractions. Very safe place. I would stay here indefinitely if it weren’t so cold. Unfortunately, the bitter winters will be driving us out of Midland and all of Michigan for that matter."

"Nothing but trying not to get hit by speeding cars. Going yo mailbox on Monroe near City ski hill ice rink Speed limit is 55 mph. I worry about children dogs cats wild critters school buses 30 miles per hour. Safety First. Then enjoying city forest trails and biking will become a first class event. Our city has marked bike paths Not around city forest. Not evens path (sidewalk) to be able to safely enjoy our forest! Slow Down. Residents and city tourist need your help in changing speed regulations "
