"Kids should be careful playing in the road drivers tend to speed. Wish we had a farmers market nearby closest one is in Summerville "
    • Jason Covington
"I ride my bike 4 miles to work. With the new addition of the low line, this will be a breeze! Was also just recently checking out the local transit options and the bus line is right down the street from me!"
    • Cherish Schwab
"The traffic here is absolutely terrible. Dorchester is a complete nightmare in the morning and in the afternoon for at least 3 hours on both ends."
    • Kimberly King
"Close to everything like stores and restaurants and gas stations and other things that you can do with your children fun parts Colosseum a lot of wonderful things in the area "
    • Christianwensjoe

    • Lacree90
"You see people walking by he does all the time and you also see a lot of children playing together b. N n n mckc"
    • Trulia User
"peace and quiet, seems peaceful I've only been here month still learning the area. Everyone around seems to mind their own business and I love that"
    • Paul M.
"Proximity to the airport; very near 2 main highways, vibrant and growing community; restaurants, supermarket & other hangout places are nearby"
    • Debbie N.
"They would like that their furry baby can take walks with their owners safely. Sometimes the dogs bark at each other for a while. "
    • Rob P.
"several ethnic groups live here and everyone gets along. You can always find a barbecue or get together."
    • Sara E.
"Neighbors always put on different events like pumpkin carving, cookouts and different things. Everyone is very nice and welcoming "
    • Anne P.
"Most things (grocery, restaurants, and shopping) are within a 7 minute drive. It's very convenient. "
    • Veronica
"There is a dog park. But it isn’t well maintained. If you contact the front office and remind them then they will clean it up but if you don’t email them then it’ll never get done. "
    • Paige H.
"This neighborhood is quiet and friendly. People look out for each other. It is convenient to local shopping, entertainment and restaurants, so there is usually something to do."
    • Amanda H.
"I've lived here 5 yrs. Its not the best but it will do until i buy. No problems in my area but there is some crime in nearby neighborhoods at times. "
    • Jennifer L.
"Whatever you put into this place you will get back 10 fold. There are many different parts to North Charleston, from a downtown to suburbs but still close to downtown Charleston and the beaches."
    • Paige H.
"One night helicopter patrol, next day, pack of moms with 3 wheeled strollers. Mixed bag love all of the creeks. the noise from the interstate is lame but not terribly disruptive."
    • Delaney M.
"Wanda woods farmers market and community bingo, multiple holidays celebrated amongst neighbors. Very close knit neighborhood with kind neighbors looking out for one another."
    • Tellysavalasb
"You see people walking their dogs all the time. I haven’t seen any problems with them. I haven’t heard any complains or too much noise. It’s pretty peaceful around here. "
    • Cuba
"Nope! You have to walk over four blocks away for public bus. The bus is close to Rivers Ave and on Greenridge there are a lot of shooting so walking to the bus stop may not be good idea. Lots of people walk around the neighborhood but it’s just not safe around here anymore. I always drive because of all the foot traffic of transit people who randomly move here. I’ll be happy once we move away from this area. "
    • Deborah J.
"I work about 10 miles from home. Not a bad commute. Dorchester Rd tends to get backed up during the week"
    • Natalee N.
"Weekly Bingo, community pool and tennis courts. No other events. You can rent the clubhouse for an event."
    • Megan R.
"It’s a busy place so I wouldn’t leave any child unsupervised if at all possible. People are very friendly and probably helpful but it’s a busy place, like foot traffic, so leaving a child unaccompanied is probably not advisable. "
    • Kayla P.
"Wish the area had better school options and ratings. I live in this area because it’s inexpensive, definitely not my top choice. It’s okay, no mishaps so far. If I could afford to live somewhere else, I would. "
    • Teamgrumpycat
"There are a few dog friendly parks near by with dog parks. there are also a lot of free roaming animals due to irresponsible owners. it creates potentially dangerous situations. "
    • Hollydieter
"There are great people in the Park Circle area, but you need to be proactive about crime. the area is transitional."
    • Kehardy20
"We don’t do nothing round here unless someone dies and they have a funeral and have it opened up for everyone in Charleston "
    • Skylar
"I commute from North Charleston to Summerville and the roads are always very busy, even in the evenings. People aren’t very good drivers around here, making the commute difficult."
    • Skylarpeaceout
"North Charleston is an older urban area. Some areas feel safe, but others feel very unsafe. However, there are lots of things to do around here for couples and kids. Traffic isn’t bad around here, but drivers are very aggressive."
    • Paula P.
"The school don’t rank very well. We have many new businesses and because of that, our traffic issue are getting as bad as California’s. We need mass transit to help with the traffic problems."
    • Aubrey A.
"Fairly quick commute, but there are train tracks everywhere and it's a 50/50 shot of getting stuck behind one."
    • TL
"Long established neighbors All ages live here Love that it is an older, established neighborhood. Super location - easy access to 526 & 26. "
    • Gretchen Dzedzej
"This is a wonderfully walkable neighborhood with plenty to do and see. Our house is in an old established neighborhood just two blocks from restaurants, yoga studios, shops, wine bars and craft breweries, fitness clubs, parks, farmers Market, Riverfront park - the list goes on. The City sponsors frequent events, and the area is one of the most desirable in the area. No need to go to downtown Charleston - although it is a short commute to go downtown or to any of the beaches or plantations."
    • Jonathan Johnson
"I've lived here for 8 years. Very quiet and close to everything. Love all the ponds. Close to Lowe's and Home Depot and many restaurants."
    • James L Taylor
"Not unique. It's becoming a battle zone over the last 6 years. Just watch the local news . . . it's sad."
    • Michele P
"I live in the lakes subdivision. Very dog friendly. I know more dogs than I do people. The pool is nice. Houses sell here very quickly. If one is on the market, buy it! Values are going up. "
    • Ozzy C.
"As a dog owner, I think people would like the sidewalks and freedom to walk their dogs safely. There are a couple places that don’t have the sidewalks and it can be quite frustrating, so that’s a downside. "
    • Tawn S.
"well there are churches around here that help the community with food and donates their time to help with everything"
    • Aubrey A.
"lots of dog, you would not believe it. tremendous dogs. we got'em and they're the best, you gotta. We're going to have even bigger dog, and Summerville is going to pay for it. lock up the cats!"
    • Kimberly h.
"nothing makes my neighborhood special. It's very boring. A bunch of retired folk live in my neighborhood. "
