9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe wish we never came to this school, bad teacher who takes side and encourage bullying. Principal who does not admit to wrongdoing. They encourage kids tell on each other rather than solve the problem. Kids not being supervised during recess and lunches. It's more like a do it yourself learning. Most parents are nice but there is some crazy ones you have to watch out for. School Doesn't do much extra activities. Pick another school and save your child and yourself. This is a school for small group of people who love to gossip, the PTA though is amazing!Parent Review1y ago14 Reviews - Earl Warren Middle School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat high school. One of the best in California. Had two students recently graduate and the transition to college was easy, both scholastically and socially. A very well-balanced high school that simultaneously excels in academics, social, and athletics. Very highly recommend Torrey Pines HS.Parent Review2y ago20 Reviews - Check out schools near Artesian Rd.

"I only have good things to say! There’s a nearby swim school for kids and it’s very walkable with how flat it is"

"25 minutes but I drive against traffic. There is minimum public transportation. There can be heavy traffic if you are driving away from downtown in the morning and back in the afternoon."

"My commute to the beach area in the morning is a little busy but fine but the afternoon commute home is long on most days. Traffic going east or south is heavy in the afternoon and evening. "

"It is peaceful and park like we have great neighbors. I love how walkable it is. There are great hiking trails and restaurants nearby. We are in the heart of the city without feeling like it. "

"There are new bicycle Lanes going up Smyth avenue. Streets are being slurried with new pavement. Neighbors are friendly they get into the Christmas spirit by putting lights on their homes. There are several new Young home buyers. A lot of remodeling going on. People getting involved with the community. Neighborhood watch signs on Street lights. "

"Farmers market nearby but there is a lot of noise and the garbage trucks like to drive behind the apartments through the alley every weekday and it echoes so it makes it difficult to sleep past 7 and there are also the gardeners and their leaf blowers for all the apartment buildings "

" “In my neighborhood, it’s really the community events that make it feel special. We have holiday light-ups where everyone decorates their homes and the whole street glows — families walk around with hot chocolate, kids laugh, and it feels like one big festive gathering. On weekends, there are small farmers markets and pop-up stands where neighbors sell local produce, homemade treats, and crafts. It’s one of those places where you always end up running into someone you know. We also have seasonal events like summer block parties, outdoor movie nights at the park, and little cultural celebrations that bring everyone together. Even simple things, like community clean-ups or morning walking groups, create this sense of connection. All these little moments throughout the year make the neighborhood feel warm, welcoming, and full of life. It’s the kind of place where people look out for each other, and that’s what makes it really special.”"

"the neighborhood isn’t the best to take your dog in a walk. Some dogs jump out of the gate, owners don’t pick up their dogs poop, and the sidewalks aren’t the best and there’s not much grass area to go walk your dog. "
