Its highly diverse student body and location near Purdue are great assets. Extracurricular activity offerings are impressive.Mixed: Great variation exists in the quality of administrators and teachers. We've had both awesome experiences and awful ones. A curriculum director is much needed to ensure more consistency. Cons: It's all but impossible to change classrooms or even schools after a month or so, so if your child and his/her teacher are a poor fit, you're stuck until the end of the school year unless you leave the corporation. Disciplinary enforcement priorities can be baffling--we've experienced both draconian punishments and dereliction of duty. The corporation's two high schools start school at 7:30 A.M. and Klondike doesn't begin until 9:30 A.M.! Extracurricular (read: athletics) tail may be wagging the academic dog.
